I've said it before...say it again. I would not have traded White for Jiminez straight up. Tonight did not do anything to change my opinion. Jiminez has been hit hard...fortunately...right at people. He was 6 and 9 for a reason.bases_loaded;852928 wrote:It's 105 and the park is a band box. Alex white isn't pitching anywhere tonight or next week or next month. Ubaldo n masterson will make it hard to lose series -
hoops23And people keep talking about Alex White, yet he's no where to be found and hasn't been since, what, early June?
I remember another UNC pitcher that had "can't miss stuff" Andrew Miller... That didn't work out too well for Detroit either... Well, it did, because he was part of the trade that brought them Miggy. -

He won 19 games last year, but I guess we can just discredit that.
He was 6-4 with a 3.10 ERA since June 1st, but you can keep playing the numbers to make your argument sound better. -
hoops23Oh no! Jiminez just gave up a homer to Texas.. Dude is garbage.

Kipnis handed 3 bullets...Cabrera making an incredible leaping catch...need I go on? He looks more like Fausto than a so called stud. You've forgotten how much you raved on White early in the season, haven't you?...and now a bomb by Napoli.hoops23;852938 wrote:Pounding the **** out of him? He's retired 8 straight hitters, has around 7 K's and has given up 3 runs... How exactly is that "pounding the **** out of"??? -

4 runs in 5 innings isn't much to brag about...against any major league team. -

I liked Alex White, followed him at UNC...
However, I'm not blind to better talent. Jiminez is better in every way.
I'm done arguing with you though, we'll never agree on this issue. -

LOL, ok... -

again, it's tough to gauge anyone in 105 degree heat -
hoops23IMO, Jiminez never should have came out in the 6th at 98 pitches.
He was dealing though, so I can see why Acta left him in.
Now it's up to the bullpen. -
FootwedgeWhy Durbin? Acta...you blow.
-
dazedconfusedi think we're going to need some more runs
-
FootwedgeClose the book on Jesus. An ERA of 9.00 and a WHIP of 2.0.

Sweet. He dropped it 27 points since the trade. How did Alex White do for the rockies tonight? -
hoops23Josh Hamilton & Nelson Cruz have gone a combined 0-for-6 with 5 strikeouts vs. Ubaldo tonight.
-
FootwedgePronk should be pinch hitting for Kearns. Brantley can play the field.
-
hoops23Please for the love of god QUIT calling for a hit and run. WTF?

He's out managing himself. Just stupid decisions. -
hoops23Holy shit! Carrera!

Agree. I don't blame him for trying to manufacture runs with this offense, but you have to draw the line somewhere. And that line is way before Austin Kearns. -
hoops23Air Carrera
