Merrill Hoge blasts Tim Tebow on Twitter

Tiernan;1019817 wrote:Somebody please close this thread. There is absolutely no reason to allow Skyhook or SOS (or Fk'n Sports Illustrated) to continue talking about Tebow. An average NFL Defense finally put an end to this circus act.
NE's defense gives up 21 ppg Denver scored 23
Denvers defense gives up 24 ppg NE scored 41
The offense did their job, the defense didn't

Not really....Look at Denvers drives starting in the second quarter, only 1 drive above 24 yards. As i said, denver had 1 good quarter, the first.

tebow didn't have the firepower or tenacity to put up 40 points. His offense went into stale mode after they scored some touchdowns. Not to mention his fumbles. If you are going to give tebow the W's gotta give him the L's. It's hilarious, it's turning into a jesus debate. When good things go right we give god the credit. when things go shitty, we don't blame god, we make a bunch of excuses as to why it happened.

    It wasn't god's plan.

You can take those opinions, and I will take facts. Tebow will be holding a clipboard after the Broncos decide that they have a gimmick TE playing QB.

We have said we don't hate tebow, just don't think he is that great of a QB. you are so defensive and gay for tebow that you can't comprehend that. Not to mention the suck fest you and speed put on every week. I like that SOS has disappeared this week. PUssy.

LOL all irvine did was focus on the good "they can score early" (1st quarter) and Dion said "extending drives with his legs" again the 1st quarter because they didn't drive at all in the second half. How about focusing on how they only had 1 drive in the second half over 24 yards? Give me a break.

Way to ignore stats that it was the defense who failed sunday. Tebow couldn't move the ball in the second half against the 32nd ranked defense.

You mean the facts that say:
Tebow is 7-2 as a starter, with no reps in training camp and first 5 games of this season, as the starter?
Tebow helped turn his team from last (1-4) to first in the Division in 8 weeks?
Tebow has the 2nd best TD to Int ratio in the entire NFL?
Tebow has a better QB rating than 18 other starters in the NFL?

Pretty sure they had a 89 yd TD drive early in the 4th quarter.

I know...that was their ONE drive over 24 yards in the second half. Have you read my posts? Clearly you haven't so i'll repost them all for you since you have selective reading problems
Raw Dawgin' it;1019772 wrote:Can't fumble like that against the NE offense.

Tebow was solid, but turnovers and sacks are killer (the 29 yard sack was icing on the cake). NE had a terrible first quarter but after that they shut down the broncos until the TD in the fourth. 7 of 8 possessions the broncos didn't drive more than 24 yards.

Are you serious? Tebow Throws the ball 12 times a game ,Those stats are fools gold. He's a good football player and a awful Qb! The College Spread option is not going to provide the NFL with Quality Quarterbacks. Just a side note Tebow also fumbled twice and was sacked multiple times because he doesn't know his progressions.

He's barely beaten garbage teams and most of the wins can be attributed to having a rock solid kicker and some idiot mistakes by the opposing team.

He never passes the ball more than 3 yards, and his receivers have the highest YAC in the league and its not even close. And QBR is overrated, the guy is what like 50% completion percentage? He's a great guy, would love him to be our backup fullback on the Browns, but he's not a QB.

Aaron Rodgers was sacked just as many times and lost the same amt of fumbles as Tebow. I guess Rodgers doesn't know his progressions either.
Just a side note, Rodgers is sacked the 3rd most this year.

Decker #45 at WR with 182 yac of his 607 receiving yards.

Dont have the time to see where the other players rank at their position but here are the other players in total rank...

T-164 Moreno at 106 yac (101 total rec yards...)
    T-173 Ball at 101 (148)
    T-189 Willis at 89 (256)
    T-193 Fells at 85 (220)
    T-201 Thomas at 76 (441)

The 4th quarter drive was 91 yards...not bad. How many 91 yard drives have the Browns had this year?

Personally, I thought this was Tebow's best all around game this year...except for the fumbles.
