Yet cant find a spot on a roster. Kerry Collins took that team to a 13-3 record.

Collins also took that team to 0-8 the next season, then Vince went in and won 7 of the next 8.

not like it is relevant anyways. trep said you arent going to win consistantly if you arent a good passer. VY has a better win-loss than the majority of active NFL QBs.

I agree. Just saying it cant always be on a single person. No way to prove it, but I think Vince Young, given the chance to start his whole career, ends up closer to .500 than to his .675 or whatever.

VY is a decent passer. He has a career average of 57.9% with a low of 51.5% his rookie year and 2 years over 61%. He's never been anywhere as inaccurate as Tebow

I am not saying Tebow by any means is going to be a MVP or in the HOF but don't act like it hasn't been done with a poor passing %.
The NFL now is very similar to what the NFL was during the 60's and 70's.

I stand corrected on Vince Young, I didn't know he was that successful at winning consistently in the regular season. I remember that he was one of those guys who was considered to be a poor passer and considered to be a "winner". I just know he never really "won" anything with the Titans and he was surrounded by a ton of talent. He had what, one playoff appearance where the Colts gift-wrapped it to the Titans in 2007? And truth is, he was still miles ahead of Tebow in terms of his passing ability. And as for Bradshaw, I think like_that hit the nail on the head, this aint the 70's anymore.

Yeah you are right. The Browns were relevant in the 60's and 70's now they are not.

But I do stand corrected, Vince Young did win consistently in the regular season despite never being regarded as a good passer.

I will give Tebow some credit, he showed some grit last night.

That being said....he still can't throw for shit, but it was a very good win. Denver's D played well and the Jets just flat out sucked.

Good for Tebow on winning the game.

The sad part is, in the long run this is going to hurt the Broncos because it'll just give Tebow a longer contract and more wins thus a lower draft pick and they still won't have a franchise QB.
  • Laley23
Tebow is winning. I dont know how, cause he was awful last night. But he gets it done. You need a 2 score lead on the Broncos to ensure a win lol.

For those of you wondering about the status of Tebow for next year, pay attention to around the 1:35 mark. By the way, Tebow is the only QB under contract for after next year in Denver, so as long as he keeps winning he's going to be staying around. With all the other stuff he has, a full off season with Elway and the coaches coaching him up, he will get better.

I am NOT saying he will ever be a Brady, Rodgers, Manning, etc, but when he gets to be a middle of the road NFL QB with all the extras, he will be lightning. Unlike Vick, Tebow is built like a fullback so he won't be getting hurt as often.

Tebow had a nice final drive, but I have no idea what Rex Ryan and the defensive staff was doing.

Also, 80% of this win belongs to Von Miller and their defense. Tebow and the offense was atrocious for virtually the entire game.

Tebow will never be on Vicks level, and Vick isnt even THAT good of a qb. Book it

It wouldn't surprise me if they change the team name to the Denver Tebows in 2012. He's that good.
