This is how you get the opportunity to go 19 and maybe blow out your top pitcher's arm.

    GTFO.

Bruce was impressive in pulling a pitch 4 inches low and 8 inches outside....much like Tony Gwynn used to do.

A yard is about how far off the plate it was and how far it traveled before touching the ground.

So now Dusty uses his only lefty on the bench in even a less important opportunity than in the 9th with Heisey!

This is classic Dustyball dumbshit plate approach time....I'll be at my best.

This Houston bullpen greatly reminds me of the years they had Wagner, Dotel and Lidge.

It's attitudes like this that help Bruce justify his poor plate approach. That is not the place to be trying for a HR and pulling that weak grounder on an outside pitch!

At this point part of it has to be on Jay too though. I remember at Redsfest both he and Votto were on stage, this was mid December I think. Someone asked what they had been doing to get ready for 2011 and Votto said he was watching film and really focusing on going the other way. Bruce didn't answer. Probably hadn't picked up a bat since the Phillies series.

Hanigan has made 3 more outs than Janish....not a good thing!

With that I am going to bed. I cant believe the Houston Astros AAA squad has a chance to win this game

Oh absolutely....it drives me nuts when they keep talking about how young he is....he's been around and making the big bucks....no excuses.

got to get that turd forced at second here.
  • Ironman92
Apparently Carlos Ruiz is catching for the Astros.

Yea, lets leave Chapman sitting in the bullpen. He would make these kids look foolish.
  • mhs95_06
Will they pinch run if they get the lug catcher to 2B?

Can't use Chapman in a Monday game with the score tied unless it's a prime number inning. Wait til the 11th.
  • dave
    god this team sucks

Dusty is the best...why the fuck would you use your best pitcher now and not have him for the 15th?
  • se-alum
Fucking put Chapman in, and strike these bums out!!
  • mhs95_06
The lug makes it to 3rd with no out in the game losing play for the Reds!
  • dave
why are they not pinch running?
  • Ironman92
There is one guy who might be able to get out of this......I'll give you a hint who it is....his initials are Aroldis Chapman.

Freddie Patek/Mike Gallego/Rafael Belliard is going to hit a grand slam.
