Over time on this team he would struggle as the ability is there but time with Dusty would have him not being patient and eventually swinging at bad pitches and not doing what leadoff hitters should do.

I wish the Reds could've offered the Red Sox for a struggling Jacoby Ellsbury for whatever they needed. Way too late now.

Lets make jordo happy and just bring up all of AAA

    Good start for Leake.

Haha can't be much worse than some of the crap we have had to watch over the past couple of weeks

Good timing play by Votto and Leake to get the first out on Torres at first.

Renteria with a just miss HR...but got a double....his 2294th career hit, surpassing Hugh Duffy ( Dad in Leave It To Beaver?)....in1894 Duffy hit .440 in 125 games 239 hits, 51 doubles and 160 runs....FYI

    Hugh Beaumont

Can Leake handle the prosperity? The Cubs scored 5 in the first, but lost 13-5 to the Cards.

    Holy offense

Shhhhh....we're talking about shows of the 50's and players in the 1890's...and it's working.

Even better for a pitcher than coming to bat before you have to take the mound, is taking the mound and getting them out 1,2,3, and then getting to bat in the first in a sacrifice situation!

    Soooooory!!!

Love this at bad from Edgar. Even if he gets out, he's making bumgarner throw a bunch of pitches.

And that didn't look like a strike...
  • Ironman92
Wow...ump takes over a good battle....bases loaded Renteria with 2 strikes fouls THREE balls off of his foot then gets rung up on a ball inside...ump tired, all about the umps.

And....this game is far from over.

Reds pitchers always seem to give up runs after the offense gives them a lead.
  • Midstate01
Bumgarner gets a 1-2-3, 9 pitching inning... I hate when the reds get a lead then just start hacking at everything. Need better at bats!
  • Midstate01
    Good inning from leake
  • Midstate01
    This strike zone is HUGE!!
  • Ironman92
It's a fuckin error....this is the big leagues and that is a god damn error because he's trying to be flashy instead of getting his body in front of it. He's gonna win the gold glove regardless....that is an error and everyone knows it.
  • Ironman92
This game has the makings of a huge swing of momentum.
  • Midstate01
    God this strike zone sucks!!!!!!

I've never understood why MLB doesn't assign an official scorekeeper to each team. Most of the awards are voted on by the voters just looking at stats, so it would be nice if they were accurate.
