Browns to upset Steelers??...Don't laugh

  • peoplerfunny
Browns played better against Chargers. Browns playing Steelers home on Thursday night. Steelers in a serious tailspin. This all points to a possible upset.

    Thoughts ?

It certainly looks as possible as it has in a while. This would be the worst loss this season by far IMO.

Let's put it this way....Michigan has beaten OSU in football more recently than the Browns have beaten the Steelers. October 5, 2003. That being said, Brady Quinn and the Browns passing attack has been showing some signs of life and the Steelers secondary is one of the worst in the league.

I hope the Steelers make it 13 in a row over the Browns but a Cleveland victory would give this rivalry the shot in the arm that it sorely needs. It hasn't been a real rivalry in a while.

I love my Browns. But they won't win until 2012.

Look for the Steelers to get well this weekend.

Never happen, the Steelers get their act together against the Browns.
  • fortfan
It wouldn't surprise me. Just when you start drooling over having the #1 draft pick ...they go on a winning streak.

That's what Steelers thought the last 3 weeks.

The Steelers own the Browns... that said, eventually the Browns are going to win, in the world of professional sports the lesser team wins every once in a while, there has never been complete domination forever.

You mean when the world ends? I get it, taking them out is the only way for them to win lol.

They won't beat the Steelers this week. I actually think it's going to be a blow out--the Steelers need to get it rolling again and they will against the Browns.

They sure did. But it's actually going to happen this week. And spare he the shit talk about the Steelers. I'm not even a Steelers fan, just making a prediction.

Steelers have been favored the last 4 weeks and lost the last 4 weeks. They are in a tailspin.

For everything that has put the Steelers in a funk, the Browns have experienced tenfold.

The Steelers are beat up on defense, the Browns have been decimated.
The Steelers are having trouble converting in the red zone, the Browns are having trouble holding onto the football.
The Steelers players are having fights amongst themselves, the Brown stopped fighting a long time ago.
The Steelers are kind of resting on their laurels from last year, the Browns have accepted losing as a way of life.
The Steelers owner is a little less focused on his team because of his new job as ambassador to Ireland, the Browns owner had to be reminded he owns the stinkin' team.
The Steelers coach is losing a little of his luster, the Browns coach is a turd.

Let's not confuse the Browns with the Raiders, Oakland is light years ahead of the Browns right now.

Doesn't mean they'll lose THIS week. But since that is true I should pick against them against the BROWNS? Yeah right, just watch, the Steelers will explode on the Browns.

If I'm wrong I'll eat my crow, because I hope I am. I'd rather watch a competitive game and I don't really care who wins.

I don't think anybody is debating with you about that. They are in a tailspin. I think the Browns have a chance. Based on recent history there's little reason to believe that the Browns have a real shot to beat the Steelers but you just never know. The Raiders, Chiefs, Ravens and Bengals all have beaten the Steelers more recently than the Browns have....even before this season. So the whole "that's what they thought the last 4 weeks" doesn't necessarily apply here as those other teams have been able to beat the Steelers sometime in the last 6 years other than this season. But hey....who knows.

    Any given.....Thursday?

If the browns are smart they throw the ball every play.

The Steelers aren't any different than the bottom feeding teams right now.

And it's a short week with some veterans injured and others getting benched. They'll be a lot of young guys in the secondary in Mundy, Burnett and Lewis.

Cribbs will 100 percent guaranteed return a kick for touchdown. So if the Browns can score about 13 more points somewhere they'll probably win about 20-17.

Browns looking better last three games. (I know they lost all three...baby steps)

Steelers looking terrible last three games.

The Steelers are fighting for their playoff lives. All the Browns have to play for right now is beating Pittsburgh for pride.

Browns could pull the upset, but I'm not putting any money on it.

Glad somebody caught on to my stupid joke! :P

I'm just hoping they can keep it competitive for about a qtr.

There are no upsets in pro sports.

Hate both teams, but I'm rooting for Clowns here.

I said after the loss to the Bears (UGH) the the Steelers are the. team that can beat anyone and can lose to anyone.

All 12 games have been tight (were blowing out the freaking Chargers but they made it very interesting)....every single loss...we're very winnable.

Anyone can beat this team and without Polamalu.....the Steelers don't force any turnovers....remeber a play or 2 before the TD this week.....#27 lets an int hit him right between the numbers

The Browns winning would not be an upset. 5 of the 6 losses were either teh last play of the game or with just minimal seconds remaining.

I really am not a fan of Bruce Arians.

    4-0 with Polamalu

    2-4 without Polamalu

and the teams within those huge records are almost unbelievable

If I'm Lerner I tell Mangini "If you want to keep your job, you'll win this game." It's the only thing he can do to make this season not be a complete failure to the fans.

A win over the Steelers would make this season 10000x better than it is now.

I'd say that Cleveland winning is far more of a possibility than I ever would have imagined entering this season or at any time before the end of last Sunday.

Cleveland, at least, has young guys fighting for jobs and their NFL livelihood. Pittsburgh is throwing young guys into the mix as band-aids due to injuries and ineffectiveness. They seem to be in close games week-in and week-out and have been losing them with regularity. After dropping an OT game to Baltimore without Roethlisberger, they were SUPPOSEDLY pissed off and going to take things out on Oakland.....and then gave up 21 fourth quarter points to an offense led by "Random Journeyman QB #53484". This is a snake-bit season that's getting worse every week at the moment.

A loss to the current most-inept franchise in the NFL would be the perfect cherry to top off this shit sundae. I hope it doesn't happen, but I won't be surprised if it does.

Oh lord, don't let Pittsburgh take it on the chin in the Sleeve. I will drink myself to death.
