Reds vs Mets...Game 1

Alright, gotta get it going now.

    This lineup isn't coming back.

Letting the pitcher bat lead-off in the 7th with a one run deficit paid off for the Mets! Dickey only has 72 pitches to start the 7th. Leake had 102 and ended with 112.

    Uhhhhhhhh

    lol

You don't send leake back out with 102 pitches you just don't...I know, hindsight is 20/20 ...and yes the bullpen is actually who blew it...but come on

If you let Leake start the 7th...and that doesn't bother me....Leake had a high pitch count but he is a low stress pitcher and had yet to give up a run....a bulldog out there. Hr handled Beltran so they yank him....if you are going to leave him in at 102...leave him in at 112...not like he had thrown 31 pitches in the inning. Bray turns around Beltran....but he's a switch hitter and Leake was getting him. Ondrusek comes in and gives up a first batter hit kinda often....but then Ondrusek is in there against a good lefty...which coated them.

I leave in Leake because he can handle it....once he, if he gives up the tying run....then I pull him.

    Come on boys fight back!!
  • Ironman92
Reds get a huge break again as the umpires have a bad angle on the stealing of second and they often miss that exact call. HUGE

I probably let Dickey go another batter as well.
  • Ironman92
Why is everyone so nervous? I have 8000 on the Mets....never fear
  • Ironman92
    Looks like Byrdak didn't forget.
  • SportsAndLady
    Or not lol

Bruce went up there guessing fastball down the middle. Got 3 outside balls, tried swinging for the right field fence on every one. Ugly!!!

I'm telling you..you throw lecure in the 7th Chapman 8th and you're going to the 9th with a lead
  • Ironman92
Aroldis is lights out right now versus everyone....the Reds needed a strikeout in that situation.

I put in Aroldis and maybe leave him in for the 8th

Please only use Joey if Lewis gets on.
  • wildcats20
Nicely done Mr. Lewis, nicely done.
  • wildcats20
Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure Lewis could have tagged and got to 2nd on that.

Damn, this is a tough one to lose.

I'm just not sure Frazier is going to be able to hit major league pitching consistently.

Probably not enough to be a starter, but his versatility should allow him to be a cheap ultility guy after Cairo is gone next year.
