    Best finish to any league...ever.

I hate Joey Barton now. Cannot stand him. He deserves to be relegated...individually.

    Screw City.

QPR, even in defeat, avoids relegation. Good to see for them and their fans.

I only like it because that keeps a Lotto kit in the Premiership.

City ends the game with 44 shots, 19 corners, and 81% possession.

    Agreed with basically everything.

Though, I'll say that Game 162 last year was fantastic as well. Didn't mean as much though, without a title on the line.

I don't follow scoccer, let alone the Premier Leauge but man that was very exciting to watch. I had two TV's going watching both Manchester teams play, and I jumped off my couch when City scored the game winning goal.

Might have to start watching it more when the season starts back up.

I'm hoping that ESPN can carry over this soccer fever over well to Euro. I'm really excited for the tournament, and I hope that ESPN has the excellent coverage (minus Lalas) that they had for the previous WC.

Another thing on the table: US EPL rights up for bidding this summer. Interesting to see who gets the rights.

It'd be awesome if every EPL weekend was like this...game on ESPN, ESPN2, FX, FSC, FSC+, etc.

I mean it won't get out of this world ratings, but it'll get better ratings than anything else they can put on saturday/sunday mornings.

All the fuck ups and missed chances and Arsenal finishes 3rd. Makes me think, "what could have been"

Oh well, I was happy for RVP and his awesome season. I did not see that coming. I hope he keeps it up and balls out in the Euro.

I agree. It'd be nice to start seeing basically any and ever game on some channel. I also believe it's needed to get a good soccer "talking heads" and/or highlight show. We need it. It'd help build more in the states.

What is the deal with the rights?

ESPN and Fox kind of split them the last few years, but it would be great if they split the rights again (but with ESPN getting a bigger share). ESPN seemed to amp up their # of games from January-now it seemed, which is awesome.

If Euros do well, I could see them making a big push and showing more games. NFL dominates their coverage during the fall, but I think they might try to show AT LEAST 1 game a weekend even during the NFL. Id love to see ESPN start showing a Sat. Sun. and Weekday game each week. Their coverage isnt near as good as Fox. But they have the ability to promote the sport and help it grow.

Now, I would love to see a split with more games being shown, but there's other factors at play here. I think NBC is gearing up for a bid, looking to gain some EPL rights, which would be nice. The more games that can be shown, the better, in my opinion.

One oddball in the race is Al Jazeera. They recently picked up La Liga and Serie A US television rights, and they are going to broadcast them on a new channel named beIN Sports. The channel launches in August, and I honestly don't know how that is going to turn out. From what I've read, they are looking into the EPL US rights, so watch out for them.

Wait, no more GolTV for La Liga! That may be the worst news ever. I might have to watch La Liga with Ray Hudson YouTube highlights on and TV on mute lol.

 Isn't that like the station bin Laden used to broadcast on?
