Classyposter58Wow those tickets for September 10th are insane. If I can get a $100 ticket I would buy that up in a heartbeat, $290 is steep

Yeah, definitely gotten pricey. I really want to go but $290 is a lot. -

Maybe scalping is the way to go? I'm thinking there's a chance to get in for 2-300 for two seats. That kinda money is like OSU-UM or World Series pricesTerry_Tate;1487153 wrote:Yeah, definitely gotten pricey. I really want to go but $290 is a lot. -
Laley23Mexicans will be all over Crew Stadium. Scalping might not drop the price a whole lot.

OSHIf no one saw the statistics, Bradley connected 92 of 100 passes against Bosnia.

I'm assuming that's very good as I watched the game and he made a lot happen leading to goals.OSH;1487204 wrote:If no one saw the statistics, Bradley connected 92 of 100 passes against Bosnia.
But as far as passing attempts/success how is that for a game for someone playing his position?
I honestly didn't even know people kept track of statistics like that for soccer, but I guess with statistics becoming more prominent in every sport to analyze games it's inevitable. -
AutomatikThat is a very good stat line in regards to passing.

I wasn't clear in my previous question, what is an bad/average/good % of successful passes for someone playing his position?Automatik;1487293 wrote:That is a very good stat line in regards to passing. -
AutomatikI honestly wouldn't know for sure. I'd say anything above 80% is solid when you're seeing the ball that much.
-
gorocks9992% is pretty damn good. Last year in the EPL, the league leaders were around 92% for the season.
-
Laley23Xavi (for Barcelona and Spain) is constantly leading the free universe in that stat. He usually has about 90 and is usually connecting on over 95%. I think he was 96/96 a few months ago versus PSG. Xavi was (some argue still is) the best CM in the world. So for Bradley to be on the same scale is a big compliment.

Thanks a lot, that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. What clip does Bradley normally hit at?Laley23;1487325 wrote:Xavi (for Barcelona and Spain) is constantly leading the free universe in that stat. Also, are %'s usually higher or lower for players playing for a club as opposed to their national team or is a person's accuracy relatively similar?
Sorry for the questions, but I have never followed soccer closely (mainly just world cup in the Summer when it rolls around). I did play a lot as a kid, but I haven't been too much of a spectator. -

It depends on the nationality of the player. A guy like Xavi or Busquets will be about the same because like Barcelona on the club side, Spain dominates opponents. So they have the ball at their feet the same amount of time, and the quality of their teammates is on par to what it is at Barcelona.Fly4Fun;1487339 wrote:Thanks a lot, that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for. A guy like Yaya Toure will see it drop when he plays for country because he is playing for Man City as a club which is top 3 in the EPL...but on the national side he plays for Ivory Coast. One of the better African nations for sure, but still nowhere near the quality of talent that Man City can assemble around him.
As far as Bradley goes average wise, I honestly have no idea. My guess is this performance was one of his best ever though. USA doesnt have the ball as much as the teams in the graph above, so to even attempt 90 passes is pretty remarkable. Shows how active he was. Percentage wise, he is usually pretty good because he is smart and doesnt force it. But he still wouldnt be that good typically. -

I know in friendly's teams don't play at full strength (also Bosnia subbed out 5-6 at half), but was that a A/B hybrid squad for both or were they playing a relatively weaker or stronger line-up than we did? -
Laley23
It was about even. We didnt have Landon or Clint (arguably our 2 best...but easily 2 of the 4 best). They had Edin Dzeko who is their best and plays for Man City as well as their other top players. But they subbed out a few of their guys where we played Altidore and Bradley all game.Fly4Fun;1487357 wrote:One more question about yesterday's game...

So, overall Id say even in how the game was approached. They had their squad closer to A, while we left off a few guys. But we seemed to take it more serious with subs... -

Bosnia is also ranked #13 in the world FIFA rankings. In order to be that high, they have some success -- one may think/say.Fly4Fun;1487357 wrote:One more question about yesterday's game...

Friendlies are all about getting players experience and prepping for certain competitions. This time around for the USMNT, they didn't take but 2 MLSers (EJ and Brad Evans, both from Seattle). All other players were playing abroad, and two even got their first USMNT appearances with the senior team. I think the commentators were saying that so far, Jurgen has called up 70-some different players for the opportunity to play with the Yanks. I think within the 70-some there have been 17+ players get their first appearances under Jurgen. -
gorocks99Mignolet endearing himself to his new club, saves a PK in the final 5 minutes and L'pool has the first 3 points of the season.
