Reds @ Brewers: Game 3

Nonthey could even walk another to load the bases, to get the force anywhere
but then there's the risk of walking in the run -
mhs95_06If Bray can't throw intentional balls any better than that, how is he going to keep from throwing a walk off WP to Kotsay?

They wanted Bray to get the 3rd out against a lefty, and he did, just as planned, on one pitch. Kotsay didn't give him a chance to throw the walk off wild one!Non;825873 wrote:they could even walk another to load the bases, to get the force anywhere

NonBruce!
gone -
se-alumNice!! Bruce is seemingly back on track!!
-
mhs95_06Will Dusty trust Coco with the save opportunity? Hopefully they'll score at least 4 here to make it a non-save situation!
-
Ironman92Couple things from earlier...
Can anyone correctly execute a run down? Chapman picks off Hart and Reds can't run him back to first and tag him ( pump fake by Cozart would've done the trick)....then we chase him towards the advancing base??? Impressive speed by Chapman but could barely pitch afterwards.
Dusty in those 1936 Negro League pants....awesomely hilarious. He was out seeing if Chapman was ok to stay in.....if you saw it you laughed. -
mhs95_06100% competence by Renteria tonight!
-
se-alumStubbs 0-6 w/ 3 K's.

se-alumI think we may see Cozart in the leadoff spot after the All-Star break. Pretty sure he batted leadoff in L'ville.
-
mhs95_06there's the non save opportunity! Still need to put the "closer" in!

Earlier I was wondering what his OBP is when leading off an inning and how that compares to other Reds hitters. -
RotinajReds lose 9-8. Weeks hits 2 homeruns.

Ironman92Minor league site.

wildcats20That was honestly one of the best half innings I have seen from this team. That one and the first in St. Louis the other night.
And I agree about Cozart. Put him in the leadoff spot and see what he can do. -

I wonder if any of the other 27 players with 3,000 hits got their 3,000th and 3,003rd hit in the same day, or for that matter their 2,999 and 3,003 in the same day. -
Ironman92God that guy SCREAMING Cordero is going to have a very sore throat!

Do you wonder if when Drew comes to bat it is like Little League and the catcher's going "Easy Out!"?se-alum;825886 wrote:Stubbs 0-6 w/ 3 K's. -
mhs95_06Six runs scored in the the first two innings and six more in the 10th, with none scored in innings 3 thru 9!

Bad thing is, if he bats leadoff he's not getting on base for the big guys, if he bats 6th he's not knocking in the runs. At this point, Drew Stubbs is giving nothing to this team, and hasn't outside of the first few weeks of the season. I assume the Reds will continue to let him do what he does though. -
Ironman92Biggio had 5 hits on his 3000 night
