The old Arroyo two straight curveballs at two speeds (73,69) trick. Then he starts Lewis the same way(curves at 70 and 62). Of course the 2nd one slipped out of his hand!

Votto lobbed it from a decent distance....Cueto should've caught it but ball was not thrown in front of him and Cueto didn't look it in. Awful

And BTW during Reds Live Brantley said teams are pitching Votto like they pitched Bonds. MVP steroidal Jason Giambi...maybe. Bonds? Lol Bonds would go an entire series and see 5 or 6 pretty good pitches.

lol Bonds would go a week without seeing 5 good pitches.

On the comment about Votto being pitched to like Bonds....in 2004 Bonds was intentionally walked 120 times...no other player in MLB history has ever had more than 45. Bonds also walked 100+ more than the guy with the 2nd most walks in baseball. Bonds has #1-3 most all-time for walks and intentional walks in a season. As for the steroids....Bonds led the league in walks 12 times.

What was so unbelievable was how he would walk 3 times....being pitched around each time and then mash a HR on the first good pitch out of 15-20 pitches.

What maybe hardest to believe is that Bonds didn't swing at nearly every first pitch during his Dusty days.

    Yeah.

And as much as he might have roided, they didn't give him that ability.

Bullpens are going to get lots of innings tonight.
  • mhs95_06
Johnny shaky catching balls and throwing to bases all night!

Can Cozart get on again leading off. Only his being stranded on 3rd after being there with 1 out deprived him of having scored 3 runs to go with his 3 hits.

Trivia answer is Wade Boggs...Devil Rays

3000th hit on a HR? I think I've heard that 329423948 times today lol. And he did it against the Tribe.

    Cozart hit.

    Votto hit.
  • wildcats20
    Oh whatever.
  • Ironman92
Interesting thing about Boggs was that he had about 600 hits in the minors and didn't really get a chance in the bigs until age 25

He may go on and get 2000 or so hits....but we may have witnessed his weakest.

    Bruce 3 run HR prediction

Lets see iif Rolen and Lewis can do any better with the same situation as their last ABs.
