Yanks vs Tribe: Time to separate the men from the boys
-
HitsRusDonald eh?...I have to admit after watching him make the same mistakes last year that Phelps is making now I've kind of buried him. Not so with the Tribe brass which just loves this guy...probably because they need him to make the Lee trade look better (lol). I believe he was having a pretty good spring until he got hurt just before the start of the season.

But that Leyland kept at it during the commercial break and into the next inning. Said he started back up again with a bad ball/strike call and they had had enough. Verlander got tossed because once he was out of the game he didnt care. He went back and relived the bad call and voiced his opinion on the whole game. He was tossed pretty damn quick lol.
I'll give you one guess who the first base umpire was. He walked over near the dugout so he could be sure he heard every word Leyland was saying. -

Joe West? If yes, no wonder. He is horrible. -

Yup. He waddled over and just stood next to the railing of the dugout. Rick Porcello was also tossed from the game in the 9th from the dugout. -
WooballWith Laporta being activated from the DL, who goes back to Columbus? Will it be Buck?

I guess Phelps, and then Judy going back tomorrow (though he has looked pretty good, so Id dump Durbin) when McCallister is called up. But I bet they feel the need to have middle infield help, so it wont be Phelps yet, but rather Duncan, or Buck or someone. -

So basically it could be any one of about the 5 or 6 AAAA players that are currently on the roster?
Has anyone heard if Asdrubal will be in the starting line-up tonight after turning his ankle and leaving the game yesterday? -

Listening to Acta on the postgame radio last night, he will. Acta said he was fine yesterday and was only pulled because "what did we have to gain down 6-0 and a guy favoring a leg? He should be good to go tomorrow, but the doctors will have final say." -
iclfan2Judy was the one sent down. LaPorta and Asdrubal are both in the lineup tonight.

That's great news. I was watching the game at the winking lizard and saw him turn the ankle and stay in the game. When I got home and saw he was pulled figured it was because of the score and they didn't want to risk further injury, but hadn't heard anything from Acta.
Big game tonight for the Tribe. Would be huge for team confidence to win a series against the evil empire and to convince the front office that this team has a shot to contend this year and pull the trigger on a deal to help them do that. -
hoops23This team sucks. No way they win their 3rd series in a row. Bums.
NYY will win 19-1 -

I'm not sure why they didn't send La Porta on a rehab stint and let him get his timing back before bringing him back. They rushed Grady up after his time on the DL and he hasn't hit since. -

From Nick Camino, talks about the Tribe, "1B Matt LaPorta told me he didn't need a minor league rehab stint because it is so close to the All-Star break. He's good to go." -

bullshit....no way we score -
TBone14Betting on the Yankees tonight. Hughes coming off the DL vs the Tribe= CY Young performance. No chance of victory. If Masterson is wild at all, the Yanks will take walks and wear him out. Bad matchup for him. Other than the 9th inning last night, the Tribe have manufactured 1 run other than the Kearns and Santana homers.

Laley23God, Masterson cant even strikeout the side. He sucks. We suck. Game over.

Yup. Turn it off. -
BR1986FB1-0 on a Hafner single...total sucktitude....
-
BR1986FB2-0 on a wild throw to 3rd by the catcher...

ts1227Cabrera's run to the plate looked REALLY labored.

wildcats20Dumb throw.

Agree. I don't know what the Hell the announcers were looking at. -
BR1986FBIf Hafner weren't a donkey it might be 3-0 but that ball got out there kinda quickly.

I think even with a good runner out there, I would have held him. Swisher has a pretty good arm.
