    Even with two outs and going on contact didn't give Schumacher much of a chance to score on Bruce who was on that hit like a cat and threw him out from "here to there". Both teams will start at dangerous spots in the order in the 4th!

    Carpenter is able to hang a zero with the dodging of the Bruce bullet. Cueto hangs a zero also in spite of walking the first two hitters, but being the beneficiary of a gift caught stealing, and a good play on the Berkman foul ball.

    Carpenter with 3 un-assisted put outs! But the Reds get to start next inning with the #1 in the order, a lefty who scorched one in the first, then Kd on a hanger in the hitting zone that he wishes he had another try at!

    Cueto has his good deflecting glove on tonight. He has two deflection assists. A comment on the Votto foul catch: It seems to me that Votto and Lewis, both of whom you feel uneasy about when they need to make a defensive play, both have an uncanny ability to stick their glove out really quickly and get it in the right spot to catch ball coming down from above.

    Lol at Carpenter yelling "fuck!" after giving up the hit to Votto. Hope his son didn't hear him.

    I wish Lewis had the canny ability to get a normal jump and to take a normal route to the ball.

    Wow that was quick for Cueto. Need to get to the pen by the 8th. Hopefully Bruce, Hernandez, and Stubbs can make him throw some pitches. (did anyone read that line without laughing at the Stubbs part?)

    RF gold glove play right there by Bruce with the sun right in his eyes. After 6 complete, Cueto with 71 pitches, Carpenter with 84. If the Reds have 2 on and 2 out and Cueto's spot comes up this inning, does Dusty pinch hit? How about 3 on, one out?
  • dave
    1-0 count and you pull a ball off the plate for an easy out. That's why he shouldn't be an all star.

    Stubbs = Mega Player

    wow a real AB. mhs we might have to see that Dusty decison.

    Man he just about burnt the shallow RF.

    if you aren't gonna PH for Cueto you have to for Edgar. that's gonna be the ballgame.

    Right fielders are a big reason why this game is still 0-0.

    Cueto > Heisey in hitting

    Cueto in the 8th and hitting in the bottom of 7 or Heisey/Cairo in the 7 th hitting and Ondrusek pitching the 8th?
