Tribe versus Diamondbacks, from Phoenix, 27-29 (Series Thread)

Hannahan is hitting lefties in a small sample this year and has better career numbers against LHP.

OCab seems to be playing well, think he just got run down playing ever day for so long.

what team is this? two out hitting? i didn't know that was allowed

O-Cab playing every day to start is a great call. Didnt think about that. I also realize Hannahan has been a bit better versus lefties, but he was killing them early, before his prolonged slump. I just dont like bringing kids up and then sitting them all the time. Especially if your putting in a guy who isnt any better lol.

Geez can't get a call down there at 2nd.
  • dazedconfused
be honest here, tim, how much money do you have on the diamondbacks for this game?
  • stlouiedipalma
What's with that idiot umpire at 2nd? Out of position for two calls and he got them both wrong. Just another reason for video review. It wouldn't bother me a bit to put some of these guys out of work.
  • Laley23
He was out at first look, and in the replay. I didnt think it was even that close. Throw was there, tag was made...

Either way, nice job by CC to stay focused on the batter Miranda and get the weak GO.
  • stlouiedipalma
    Ouch! Right in the schnozzola!
  • stlouiedipalma
Great slide by Kearns. Now we have to capitalize on that.
  • iclfan2
Haha I will take these runs however we can get them.
  • stlouiedipalma
Now all the breaks are going our way. I wonder if the 2nd baseman knew he had to tag Marson? Of course, the throw took care of that.
  • Laley23
LMAO at Rick Manning. "I wasnt even watching the play, I was watching the bat" and then proceeding to talk about the bat and stands and guy who caught said bat for a minute before the actual play.

Also, I think Duncan scores there regardless. Looked he was scoring before Kearns would have been tagged.

How stupid to try and steal 3rd in that situation.
  • stlouiedipalma
First and third with one out in the sixth.Got to get at least one here. No ground balls unless it gets through. C'mon OC.
  • stlouiedipalma
Crap. He should have taken one for the team there. Manning is so full of shit saying he did his job.
  • iclfan2
So a guy on 1st and 3rd with one out, and Acta calls a hit and run. Stupid. Let him hit what he wants. Acta is making some retarded calls today.
  • iclfan2
And after a leadoff double we get 0 runs.

Today?? I was ready to fire his sorry ass after last night and, after what I've seen today, I still think they should keep him from getting on the plane tonight. I'd have Sandy managing when they get to Cincinnati.

Welke at second base is a terrible umpire. The first wrong call cost us a run, and Marson had the base steeler out easily. Lou is probably the best catcher in the bigs at throwing out runners. He's over 50%.

And Carlos continues to pitch like a number 1.
  • stlouiedipalma
CC has certainly shown a lot since that first outing when he came back. I thought they rushed him back and his performance since then has been quite good.

If Hannahan gets on do you pinch Pronk for CC?

    Yes

    * edit mayby Phelps instead

Carlos says Sit the fuck down Willie Mo!

Great game by Carlos. 7 IP. 2 runs on 4 hits. 7 Ks. I can live with a couple solo homers. Means he's throwing strikes and being aggressive.

Who do you go to in the 8th here? Pestano or Sipp?
  • BRF
That Parra has been killing it against us. He reminds me of Vic Davalillo (that's for the old folks!). Great job by Carrasco!
