The Tribe visits the Giants: June 24, 25, 26

Sidenote: I find it impossible to root against Victor. He is one of my all-time favorite players. Unless he is playing against the Tribe, I want him to get a hit every at bat.

Fausto Carmona probably pitching for his job tonight.

And Miggy just hit a 2 out, 2 run single to give the Tigers the lead in 8th. Moonpie has already homered today, as well.

as he should be. mcallister and gomez are pitching too good for columbus for there not to be some pressure on fausto if he's going to keep pitching like ass.

Fausto can take Durbins place in long relief. Durbin can go, well, anywhere for all I care.

And Victor and Peralta deliver back to back singles for more insurance runs. VMart is 2nd in the AL in hitting. Wish we had him to play first base.

yeah, I wish he was still around. He was the one player that actually wanted to stay in Cleveland and he is a leader. Tough to put a price on the intangibles that he brought to the ballpark.

you shut your mouth, we have a new man in charge when it comes to "intangibles"...

    It's certainly better than leadoff.

I don't even know where a good spot for Strikemore is.

Bad call on Grady....and that cost us a run.
  • dazedconfused
typical indians inning: leadoff double, strikeout, caught stealing, easy out...end of inning

I thought he missed the tag originally, but on the slow motion replay...looks like he grazed his shin

except the caught stealing really wasn't...

well, shelley's incompetence made it more important for grady to attempt to steal third

Exactly...had he done his job, Grady is at 3rd and scores on the ground ball.

Strikemore has ZERO stolen bases this year, so why the hell was he trying to steal third?

He has zero bc you have to get on base first to steal a base

My parents are up at our cottage with Bob DiBiasio. He just told me that with the Choo injury, "The Indians will probably be forced into action to replace him. Id expect some kind of move. But at the same time, its so hard to trade for a positional player because of what will happen next year when we still have Jack Hannahan at third hitting a buck-80 because Lonnie Chisenhall is on another Big League roster."

Basically, he was saying they will actively be looking, but the odds of them stepping up to make a BIG splash probably wont happen until they have a firmer grasp of what they have on the team. IE (Brantley, Santana, Tomlin, CC, and Phelps). If we are in the same position next year, you can expect a big trade, if needed.
