Jason Whitlock on the Miami Fail

  • BR1986FB

Excellent read. This is what I was talking about him blaming God for his failure in the other thread. Sack up and say "I played like sh#t", not "The man upstairs didn't want this to be" or whatever the Hell he said.

...I love Jason. His take on "The Miami fans now hate James moe than the Cleveland fans" is funny as shi+

I hate to say it, but Whitlock is 100% right.

Damnit....I was hoping I wouldnt ever say I liked a Jason Whitlock article, cause I hate the guy. But this was good and points are accurate to what the country is feeling.

He said they should blow the team up and quit on the experiment, umm hello Jason, they just made the finals in one year and were about 2 quarters from winning a title. What an idiot.

If Miami hadn't sh#t in their hat they could've swept this series from what I heard. Listening to Mike & Mike on the way in, Dr Jack Ramsey was saying this. Kind of weird to say that a team that got beat 4-2 could've swept a series.

Think about that, they blew fourth quarter leads in games 2 and 4, they close those TWO quarters out and they win the series, get it?

You could say the same thing about the Mavs. They could have swept or at least won the series in 5 games.

very true, every game came down to the 4th quarter

Yeah, very strange. Both teams could have ended this series in their favor, very early, instead of 6 games.

I'm just hoping for football. :( I think this lockout's gonna end very soon though.

shoulda woulda coulda.....champions are made in the 4th quarter. Lebron is scared of the big stage and his non existence is why they lost despite being the more talented team.

I still get baffled everytime I see the possession yesterday that started in a semi-fast break. Then it was kind of frantic defense by the Mavs trying to recover. The Miami players all had decent looks or chances to drive and finish etc. I think every player touched the ball, and Wade and LeBron both passed it 2 or 3 times. Possession ends with Mario fucking Chalmers driving in and turning it over. It was the most passive, pathetic display of offense I have seen out of a team that has stars. Why in the world are the passing.

Then, to top it off, the next possession on the other end (for Dallas), Dirk who has sucked shooting all game gets it and doesnt even look to his teammates. He takes a dribble to the left and buries a jumper from the foul line. Just completely different mind-sets....and Dirk is the guy who never got the credit in the 4th quarter. Just shows how much he looks like Jordan out there compared to what Wade and LeBron did yesterday and LeBron did all series.

I feel very bad for King James, it is obvious that the ownership of Miami did not give Lebron the help he so desperately needs. Wade and Bosh completely failed and left Lebron all alone just like in Cleveland.
Oh yeah nevermind that King James only averaged a little over 2 pts in the 4th quarter for the Dallas series. The next person that tells me face to face that Lebron is the best player I will punch in the mouth.

    Brilliant article from Whitlock.

Yeah. I vividly remember that play. It reminded me of what I'd do on the NES Tecmo NBA game when I was getting bored with how easy the computer was. Except I'd end it with a dunk after a few passes instead of a turnover. It was amazing how Tecmo Super Bowl could be super challenging at times, but their NBA game...after you realize the computer's impotent against any fast paced offense, you could do anything at anytime.

This was a very entertaining read. Like I said in another thread, Whitlock really took Lebron to task. He rubbed his nose in it. Of course Lebron probably read it and said "oh yeah? Well I live in a mansion"
