Jason Whitlock on the Miami Fail

  • iclfan2
Good article by Whitlock. Ledouche started all of this with "the decision", and promising Cleveland the World and then bolting. One day he will learn not to run his mouth, but his hatred has grown from just Cleveland to around the US now. He is a moron, and it starts with the unintelligent people he has surrounded himself with. He has no heart, no brain, and can't figure out that he is the problem. Anyone who defends his actions are trying to stir the pot or are just stupid themselves.

I don't see anything special about it. I agree with a lot of the easy things, but I don't agree with blowing it up. They did better than common opinion thought they would. They won two finals games, and gave up a few. The POTENTIAL was at least shown to say they could have won the series. I think one more year together with a HEALTHY roster could be enough for them. With that said, I still shop LBJ around. Howard is about the only guy you pull the trigger on for the big 3. I don't see any trades though. Too much uncertainty, and too much hate for the Heat.

By far and away....the best team LeBron ever played on was the 08-09 Cavalier team. That group collectively was much better than this Heat team. They won 6 more games than this Heat team. That Cav team had it all....including guards that could actually make 3's.

That team was good but this Heat team would have swept them

Replace James with Dwyane Wade on the 08-09 and 09-10 Cavs and we have two championships.

    This is probably true.

    No it's not.

One at the most. Last year's Cavs(minus Bron, add Wade) would not have beat the Lakers.

And honestly, I still don't the Cavs would have beat the Magic with Wade and not Bron. There were match up issues ALL over the court in that series.

Highly doubt that. The 08-09 Cavs were more suited to beat this Dallas team than the Heat were imo.

The team with 58 wins would sweep the team with 64 wins? Wow! That would have been quite the miracle.

    Edit.

Oops...my memory has failed me. The Cavs were 66 and 16 that year. But ya....Jordo, this shit Heat team would have swept them. Joke.

not a chance, wade may have a better killer instinct but he can't elevate the level of play of the role players around him like Lebron did

I mean you are entitled to your opinion, I'm not going to call you an idiot or anything. But you'd think that people would stop using regular season victories as a measuring stick for who the "best" team is.

Regular season is different than the post season, the Bulls won more games than anyone in the league this year, didn't matter when they lost in 5 to miami

At best they matched what common opinion said what they would do. They were an overwhelming favorite to win the east (70.4% of NBA general managers picked them to win the East preseason), and a lot of people picked them to win the finals. Some experts were even saying they could challenge the Bulls single season win record.

And opinions change as the season evolves. At the beginning of the year, consensus was the only team that might be able to match up with them was the Lakers. Once the Finals match up was set (especially with home court advantage), the Heat were a big time favorite and not bringing home the title is absolutely a failure.

I agree that blowing it all up after 1 season would be stupid though (unless salary cap constraints force them to). A healthy Haslem and Miller for a whole season could make a big difference to this team.

You do these things, and you automatically open yourself up to insults if you don't win. The people that defend lebron are just as obsessed, if not more obsessed, than "lebron haters." Plain and simple, I hope he never wins a championship just because of these 2 videos.

LeBron didn't elevate anything. Him standing there pounding the ball for 20 seconds of the shot clock hurt everyone around him. If he passed it to someone it was with 1 or 2 left on the clock and they had to fire it up, guarded or not. Wade doesn't stop the ball nearly as much, and he can get it done under pressure.

That is so off base, look at the team Lebron took to the finals in 07, Wade couldnt have done shit with that team, Lebron makes players better around him with his decision making and passing, not just scoring like wade
