    Once again, a over paid pro athlete degrades the fans that pay his salary.

    When will Americans wake up and simply stop going to the games! Make this punk get a real job!!

    never liked Lebron and now 99% of Americans will join me.

    He is assuming people hating on him are unhappy with their lives or something. He is looking down on them once again. Fail on his part to assume that so many people are not satisfied with their life and his is so much better.

    I really don't see what's not true in what he said. I think it is more sad that people are rooting for him to fail. He's basically saying he doesn't give a shit about people rooting for him to fail. How is that self-centered or immature?

    I'm not even a LBJ fan, but it is comical how some people let there personal feelings twist his words into meaning something other than what he intended them to mean.

    Not really. He never said anything about them being unhappy, just that they will have the same personal problems (which everyone has). It is hilarious to see the Lebron haters in full force.

    If you listened to the actual press confrence you could tell he was talking down on them. I agree the quote isn't terrible but it is worse if you watch the video.

    Is that what we were discussing in this topic? I thought we were discussing this particular quote, in which he was just being honest and truthful. Correct me if I am wrong, but I never said he has never been self-centered; I stated he wasn't self-centered in this particular comment.

    His reputation and popularity are at an all time low. It's just not something he should not have said and adds fuel to the fire. Plus he assumes we normal people are unhappy with our lives and he is so much better. Stupid thing to say.

    His reputation in Cleveland may be at an all-time low, but that's about it considering his jersey is the #1 selling jersey in the NBA. Cleveland fans need to get over it, everyone else has and nobody else cares that Lebron left Cleveland except Cavs fans.

    Valid point, but it doesn't discredit my point that his reputation and popularity is not at an all-time low, it is actually very high because of the move. Like I said earlier, outside of Cleveland, people don't really care anymore that LBJ left the Cavs.

    It's safe to say his popularity has gone down.

    Also, I doubt many people outside of Cleveland cared he left, they just think he is a self centered douche bag. The way he went about leaving didn't help either.

    There is no way anyone can say this was a good response. He might have just been answering the question, and what he said is largely true (though, not completely). But that doesnt make it correct. You have to know when to say the right things and not say something that is going to blow up in your face like this. LeBron has completely forgotten how to do this since last season ended it seems.

    If Wade was asked why he thought they struggled in the 4th, I dont think we would have seen the response, "My teammate sitting next to me is a pussy who didnt want to shoot the ball or take it to the hole. He kept passing so Chalmers had to make the plays, and he let the Jet run rampant on the offensive end. He was lazy and made the rest of the team lazy down the stretch." because it is just a stupid response, even though it may be largely true.

    You pick the correct things to say to the media, and you have to always be politically correct and careful, otherwise shit hits the fan for you.
