Lebron runs his mouth yet again

  • Ironman92
I think it's safe to say LeBron is better than all of us at basketball and we are all better than him in the world of public relations.

What I took from it was "at the end of the day most of the people who don't like me are way more poor than me and will remain such while I will keep making millions of dollars and doing what I want."

    What a douche.

Not a good response that is for sure, but he isn't the brightest guy in the world to begin with. As for his life being better, we will see after his entourage bleeds him dry and he is paying child support to Savannah and Rashard(joking).l

After this debacle (Finals) he's probably HOPING for a lockout to deflect some of the spotlight away from him. :D

I thought his comments were pretty moronic. Especially if he is serious about rehabbing his image

Yeah and he is a moron....but he was getting grilled pretty good and it was right after he played like shit on the big boys stage....people say stupid things under extreme pressure/scrutiny

Open your eyes. Everyone hates Lebron. His jersey sales are so high because young kids love him, kids who don't really understand anything about Lebron personally. They just love the best player in the NBA. No adult in the past 8 years will say, "I really like Lebron more now than I have before" He gives no one a reason to like him. a-he's an asshole b-he can't win a championship...how can you possibly like someone like that? Jordan got away with 'a' because he won championships. He can be an asshole all he wants, but he still never talked down to american people. Sure, he's a dickhead, but we all loved him. It's the exact opposite for Lebron.

    What a douche.

This. He sounds like a spoiled little brat. "I'm going to take my ball and go home" boo fucking hoo

That was a condescending comment about his fans. Basically: my life is better than yours and I still have that for me while you go back to the drudgery of your own existences. To interpret it any other way, you have to be a fan of his.

It was in keeping with his generally douchy demeanor, though. I'll give credit for being consistently a douche bag.

That it's correct is of no consequence to me. What matters to me is that it points out the following difference:

LeBron (aka Mr. Softee) - "It's OK that we lost, my life is still great"
Kobe - "I feel like I've wasted a year of my life"

This difference is FAR more important in assessing the better player than skill sets. Far more important. Comparisons to Michael? What an absolute joke. One is a man, the other a child in a man's body.

I really do think it was going to be a 'damned if I do damned if i don't' reaction to how he responded to the media. Whatever he said was going to be an analyzed to hell and someone, somewhere would have found a problem with it. With that being said, he still managed to find the response that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

So almost every media outlet (espn, SI, etc.) would have put out an article(s) if he were to just answer the question "I didn't play like I know I can, I messed this up, and we will get better and I guarantee it won't be like this anymore, because I'm going to work harder than anyone"? Sorry, but no.

This. You can't really say shit when somebody shows humility.

Yep...instead of manning up he passes it off as a "higher power" not wanting him to have it (championship) at this time. There comes a time where when you screw up you have to take accountability and I just can't see this guys (Lebron's) ego allowing it.

When I woke up today my mother wasn't a whore and the majority of the country didn't hate me, so win some lose some I guess.

    LOL +15,000
  • friendfromlowry
No, you're right. Had he taken that approach, he would have looked a lot better than he does now. But there really is such a (warranted) hate for him that no matter what he said, it was going to be critiqued, even if it was full of humility.
  • I Wear Pants
Yeah, if Lebron said "I played like shit, I didn't have the drive or focus to compete with people who clearly wanted it more than me. I will work so that this doesn't happen again, I want to be the one that everyone knows will come through in the clutch and I didn't in this series." I would have nothing bad to say about it and would praise him for being honest.

Instead he said "haha, you're all poor".

Thing is we can't know if there would still be hate with him if he showed humility because he has never done that.
  • HitsRus
I've got no problem with what he said.. It was just another example of something he did or said or handled that could have better, but wasn't.
  • BR1986FB
If Lebron really wants a ring THAT bad, I suppose he could probably buy one from Tyrelle Pryor. ;)
  • BRF
I really don't care what he said. His words mean nothing to me. The sun is out, he doesn't have his coveted ring and The Tribe is going to end their losing streak tonight. Life is good.

Well yesterday it was cloudy and I didn't play Golf. Today when i woke up it was very sunny and I played 27 holes of Golf.
  • Pick6
I thought the comment was pretty fuckin' arrogant. Once again showing what a douche he is.
  • TwinTurbo
I woke up with the same amount of nba titles as lebron......0.
