Or maybe some just read the NBA threads last year and didn't post on them. Rest assured, there was more than one.

Dirk has a torn finger ligament. Which pretty much ensures a special someone will return on June 16 (if he doesn't create a less "BOSS" handle a few days earlier to gloat about how everyone who disagrees with him and his love of crab dribbles and spider cranes is an idiot not on his level as far as knowledge about anything goes before melting down again and requesting a ban because of "personal issues").

We need the same sort of clock for this that the old Huddle had for the beginning of high school football season...

explain why then. I should be able to hit your hand causing you to lose the ball and that shouldn't be a foul? makes no sense, horrible rule

hoops23;787281 wrote:That's funny, because I played/play the game and everybody who I've played/play against would not call a foul on some pussy shit like that...

The official rule states that the hand is part of the ball for a reason, please stop acting like you know what the fuck you're talking about. You're wrong, just let it die.

I respect your opinion but disagree, if we played and I hit the shit out of your hand causing you to turn it over and miss shots you will want those calls. It's an unfair advantage and a retarded rule, agree to disagree.

Miami will cruise because Lebron isn't in a position that requires him to win it by himself. I don't like the Heat but I look for a pretty easy 4 game sweep or five at the most. If it goes longer, I'll assume that it's a money decision.

I forget who he was arguing with, but I do know I skipped over about a page worth of his posts because I couldn't stand his shit. Must have been included in those.

    Miami will win in 4.

The 2010-2011 NBA Champions: The Miami Heat*

It is bizarre just how every chip fell the Heat's way down the stretch.

San Antonio and the Lakers seemed to turn into broke-down old teams overnight and weren't factors.
Boston fucked up their chemistry with the Perkins trade and the Rondo injury was the nail in their coffin.
Oklahoma City and Chicago were talented, but didn't have the playoff experience to handle more experienced teams.
And now, Dirk injures a finger in the first game of the finals.

I'm not saying Miami is going to win ONLY because this stuff happened, but it really went from a playoffs where a number of teams looked to be potential contenders for a title to one where most of those teams went out with a whimper.

Without a doubt. Perfect storm for Miami. Coming into the playoffs I had them as anywhere from the 3rd to 5th best team. As soon as Boston traded Perkins I said that Ainge just "cut off his dick and ate it." (i.e. didn't something PAINFULLY stupid)

Don't forget that Caron Butler is missing the Finals due to injury.

Too many things to be coincidence. This shit goes higher than refs, higher than the NBA. God is going to make sure LeBron finally gets his title.

Obviously quite a few things went in Miami's favor, but isn't that true with most championship teams. Look at some of the recent college football seasons(2007 in particular), crazy things happened to get teams into the championship game. Look at Pittsburgh's first Super Bowl where Nick Harper, who got stabbed by his wife before the game and hurt his knee during the game, gets shoelace tackled by Rothlisberger as he was falling when he should have easily scored a touchdown. Instead Vanderjagt misses his only field goal at home that season. Getting good and bad breaks is part of sports, and those that win championships usually get the good breaks during their runs.

And then Camping's Rapture will happen during the championship parade!

elbuckeye.....I'll completely agree those were good breaks for the Steelers.....but Bettis fumbling on the inch line to seal it was quite the break for the Colts.....and the non-INT call for Polamalu to seal the game.....well the rest of the game for Pittsburgh was deserving karma IMO.

The good break for the Steelers was playing the Seahawks....and then the Cards
