Tribe @ White Sox- Series Thread
-
TBone14Sorry about the delay. Got busy at work.
Two game set in Shy Town.
Tonight is Masterson v Peavy
Tomorrow is Carmona v Floyd
Go Tribe. -
Laley23Hoping for another sweep. Like the way we are playing right now (obviously), and with Masterson going against the oft-injured Peavy, I think we have a good shot.
-
wes_mantoothYeah, I like our pitching matchups....
Go Tribe!! -
september63Peavy is 1-5 all time vs Cleveland. Masterson has a 2.34 ERA vs Chicago.
-
BR1986FBI'd take a split but would have no issue with a sweep.
Shocked we're not facing that tub of goo, Buehrle. -
royal_kThe Sox flip-flopped Floyd and Phil Humber so Floyd could throw on his regular day.
-
OneBuckeyeShould probably start a reds - tribe thread now to get the jump on those cincy guys and get the smack talking started early. As far as chi-town goes I hope we get at least one and our bats continue to stay hot. Hopefully it was our bats that heated up not the Royal's staff sucking.
-
royal_kAlready a thread started
-
Laley23If we split or win this series, I am going to urge TBone to start a Cincy/Tribe thread anyway, and we can all post in there (or both). But he has the lucky touch right now...need to keep it going.

i'd say the only way tbone doesnt start the next thread is if we lose both games in chicago -

True, Justin can have his own little thread but tbone will start a new one. -
BRFBRF checking in and Go Tribe!
Yeah, The Boss tried to get the jump on us! -
areyoukiddingmeIt's "CHI" town, not Shy-Town.
lol. -

lol.
That makes more sense. I never understood Shy Town. I've been to Chicago..people are not shy. -

I was going to say something on that, too. Most people say the hard "CH". However that old CB trucker song refers to it as "shy" town (as in "let those truckers roll"...ya know what I'm sayin,?)! So you are not too off on that, Tbone! I have only been to Chi-town one time in my life and that will be the largest city that you will ever go to where the people talk JUST LIKE US! I can never go back because I have an outstanding parking ticket!
Go Tribe! -

lol, I thought you were making a joke. I figured everyone knew it was Chi-Town -
hoops23Lol. I say if we win or split then tbone makes a thread for the Reds series. If we magically lose this series, I still say somebody should make the next thread for the Reds series. We have a good thing going.

Good thought, Big Dawg! -
FootwedgeLove our chances to take both. I mentioned on the other thread, the tribe plays 16 straight games against teams with winning records starting Friday. I hope Talbot can replace Carrasco...if so, we have a great chance in every game.
If they stay healthy, I could see this team running away with this division....unless the Tigers' bats wake up. -
september63Easy there. Detroit's bats HAVE woken up. They have won 8-10 and are playing well.
The Tiger's are averaging 5.5 runs in the last 10 games. -

Take away Moon Pie and Victor's white hot streaks...then I'd say their bats are still cold. Tiger pitching has been hot too. -

Did a little research..apparently calling Chicago 'Shy Town' is a derogatory term to people who live in Chicago. In which case, it was exactly how I intended it.
My Source.

iclfan2Gametime soon. Still pumped that watching this team is exciting. Pissed I can't transfer to Cleveland or I'd be attending a lot of games.

TBone14I love the open of the radio broadcast. Gets me fired up..hearing all the players and Manny say they are gonna shock the world and stuff.
Its Tribe Time now!
