I see what you did there.

Well that was a tough loss. Our hitting was terrible. Hopefully we bring it tomorrow.

Tonight was one of those games where the pitcher was better than our hitters. Good pitching will be good hitting every time. Come back tomorrow and split the series. A win would make it 3 out of 4 on the road trip.

    Can't win when you don't score.......lol

Anyway, I knew we should've saved maybe 2-3 of those runs from Monday night's shilacking of the Royals.

We just need .500 ball the rest of the year and we win the division, so we are right on pace!

Meh, it's frustrating, but these games happen.

I think there was some sarcasm there.

Tip my cap to Mr. Peavy. He is a true competitor in every sense. I love watching him pitch, except when he is good vs the Tribe. He wears it on his sleeve. I wish he was still in the NL so I could root for him.

Also, although nothing can be based off of one game ever in baseball, I think tonight shows the importance of Sizemore and Pronk for the long term success of this team, this season. No offense to Travis Buck and Shelly Duncan, but those 2 guys are crucial if this team is going to make noise in September and October.

I really also have to give credit to Masterson. He was battling it early with some command issues, but he worked out of some jams, settled in and was effective. We won't lose many games only giving up 1 run.

    Bingo, Well said!

God Jake Peavy always seems to dominate whenever we face him. Oh well we were due for a stinker eventually. Now we just gotta take tomorrows and get a split. Hopefully Pronk won't be out of the lineup too long.
  • hoops23
I knew something was wrong with Pronk last night in KC when he hit that double.. He was running like a lame duck.
  • OQB
Pronk has a "sore right side" whatever the hell that means lol....shouldn't be out long and was probably just an excuse to give him a day off. We'll bounce back tomorrow, no time to worry.
  • OneBuckeye
The thing about peavy he seemed to throw the most hitable pitch on the first pitch. And half the time it was the change up. Once he got ahead he was painting the corners and throwing that cutter perfectly. I think they should have been more aggressive last night. Hopefully they can come back tonight.

Pronk to be looked at today to see if the DL is a possibility... Ugh.

Yeah, the way he was running the bases tuesday you could tell he wasn't right. We need him and Sizemore to stay in the line up if we want to be serious contenders this year.
  • Laley23
Any news on Pronk. He has been Pronk again this year, and we CANT lose him to the DL. That is a tough bat to replace for more than 1 game at a time.

hopefully no dl in the near future either

Valbuena was called up today and Germano was DA. OC will be away from the team for a couple days. He is becoming a US citizen. Don't have a link. I heard it on ABO.

We are now minus 3 starters.
  • september63
Bad time to be away a few day with the Reds series coming up. But I do guess becoming a US citizen is an important milestone for him and they only have these ceremonies on set aside dates.
  • burt07
Didn't know that about OC, I did hear that Buck was pulled from the lineup with turf toe. Hafner is scheduled to have a MRI once they get back to Cleveland. What the hell is happening to everyone???
  • royal_k
    Line up tonight

    Brantley CF
    Druby SS
    Choo RF
    Santana C
    Duncan DH
    LaPorta IB
    Hannahan 3B
    Kearns LF
    Everett 2B

Don't get why Buck is DH and Kearns in starting in RF. Buck is the better fielder

*edit...I din't know Buck had turf toe.
  • burt07
By the way, lineup for tonight is:

    CF Brantley
    SS A Cabrera
    RF Choo
    C Santana
    DH Duncan
    1B LaPorta
    3B Hannahan
    LF Kearns
    2B Everett
  • burt07
Yeah Duncan replaces Buck in the lineup tonight.
