I want to respond to september's retarded posts, but I just don't want to open that can of worms...apparently losing 3 games in May means the Reds are now awful.

C'mon man. Thats ALL you do in Cavs/Indians threads. You're always trying to get a response out of people. Let it go

Apparently we didnt get the memo. The playoffs are going to be determined by what your record is in late May. If you are in 2nd place in your division, you suck

Come on man, i've seen you in a few Indians threads. Had this series gone the other way i'm sure we'd see the same from Reds fans.

Haha go look at the Indians threads. I dare you. At the start of the season (specifically a WhiteSox thread) i was building team up and talking about how good Choo and Santana were. I was saying your team was talented and that you should all go see them

Doubtful. This is what Cleveland fans do

Jordo is cut from the same cloth as Capone and sleeper, and should be taken just as seriously. As for the Reds, I have no problem with them. I'm glad we swept them, but I don't care if they win or lose when we aren't playing them. I don't root against them.

+1 except maybe worse because he doesn't realize he's in the same class

The only thing that got me going was how Midstate and another Reds fan were talking about how the Indians "were just on a great run but they didn't think they could sustain it" while talking up the Reds like they've become some powerhouse...

The Reds made the playoffs for the first time in A LONG time and all of a sudden Reds' fans think they belong in the playoffs.

The fact is, people who understand baseball know that what the Tribe is doing is no fluke. Great pitching is not a fluke. Timely hitting is not a fluke. Good defense is not a fluke.

a 60+ run differential is not a fluke...

Going 7-5 during a 12 game stretch where you saw 7 of the top 20 ERA pitchers in the AL is not a fluke.

8 series sweeps is not a fluke, including 6 of 3 games.

The real "woe is me" is the Reds fans who can't take some shit talking and get their panties in a bunch over a little ribbing. The guys crying about it are the same ones who talked down the Tribe before the season with phrases as "We should be able to take 2 out of 3", "They're not for real", "They don't have staying power" blah, blah, blah...

This is like 2007 all over again. People think because you didn't do shit the year before, you won;t do shit this year. What did the Reds do in 2009 before making the playoffs in 2010?

The Tribe has developed their players the right way. Yes, a lot of us were frustrated with the process, but you have to take the bad with the good.

I was saying as early as late last season that the Tribe would contend in the Central... I said it before the season and I said it in April...

I love the meaningless line too..

If the Reds sweep the Tribe when they meet again, will that series be meaningless? If these games are meaningless, why play them?

Every game means something. For instance, the Tribe has taken the approach that every game matters and they now have the best record in baseball and a 7 game lead over second...

That sure is a hell of a lot better than being 15-25 and something like 10 games back or whatever we were at this point last season.

This sounds like the beginning of one of those "What If...." commercials.

The "What if" slogan is not a fluke either...

    Shits getting real.

Wow S&L, yet you responded and you're still irrelevant.

Is that really a lot of words though? Literally took me 2 minutes to type.. I understand, you're emotionally distraught right now.

  • SportsAndLady
No I mean you just typed all of that, and no Reds fan cares at all lol just stfu and let this thread die.

And karen, I'm not surprised you chimed in there with another sarcastic response...seriously, try to go all day tomorrow without posting a sarcastic response to someone.

I didn't have one sarcastic post on Saturday, so your theory is wrong. Also, how is that last post of mine sarcastic? Didn't you say yourself you didn't care about 3 games in May?

If you don't care, why do you continue to respond? LOL.. Contradicting much?

I didn't think it was sarcastic... It was exactly what he and a couple others have said all day.

If I were you, I'd post some more suggested lineup changes and which pitcher to call up from AAA, except maybe you should try to understand who would fit best in the lineup and which pitchers are either a) in the Reds system, and b) the most deserving of a call up.

I responded saying no one is going to read it...how does that mean I care? That's right, it doesn't.

It was sarcasm. And it's still true, 3 games in May do not mean much in the grand scheme of things. Indians fans will want to talk about it and be excited about it...Reds fans will want to put it behind us...I don't understand why that is so difficult for you two lovebirds to grasp?
