I agree, but I was trying to predict tonights lineup. If I were doing the lineup, with the way Choo has been hitting I would seriously think about putting Grady in the 3 and Choo in the 7. Just think about it though, because choo will get hot soon and he has begun to turn it around I think. -
TBone14Brantley is hitting .302 with an OBP of .367. He has 4 doubles, 6 RBIs and has struckout 8 times vs 6 walks. Not spectacular, but solid. Grady is this team's leadoff man and Brantley knew that his role there would be temporary. Perhaps the best lineup at this point would be to slide Brantley in at the 2 spot, move Asdrubal to 3, Choo to 4 and get Santana out of the 4 spot. The book is out on Carlos and he will have to make some adjustments or it will be a long year for him.

Laley23If Grady is batting leadoff, I think Brantley has to go to the 9 slot. It makes more sense to have a singles hitter in the 9 slot than 7, imo. I would also like to move Santana around and out of the 4 spot, but I wouldnt do that while we are winning. Guys know there roles right now, even if they are struggling with them. Choo will be fine, and has been pretty good for the last week.
Santana, he may not be ready for the 4 spot right now, but its tough to move him when the team is winning, and honestly, I wouldnt fuck with whatever HAfner has going for him in the 5 slot, and he is the only option at 4 I see for this team other than Carlos. -

I'm interested to see what Manny does tonight. Also, with Sizemore back in center, this team becomes one of the best defensive teams in baseball. Those 3 guys in the outfield cover some serious ground. Asdrubal is growing into an elite defensive shortstop and Hannahan and LaPorta have been impressive at the corners. -

BRFVery good thoughts in the last several posts. And then we have the line up posted. It sure is a pleasure to talk about this stuff while we are winning! Go Tribe!

That it is my friend, that it is... -
grodtLet's start this series out on the right foot.
I had been on the fence about the whole Grady/hitting lead-off thing for awhile but I've realized he's one of our best hitters when he's healthy (which for all intents and purposes he is now) and I want our best hitters getting the most at-bats. Now is he best suited for the #1 spot? I don't know but I know I want him at the top of the line-up. -
riders1I would think this should be the batting order
Brantley
Cabrera
Sizemore
Choo
Hafner
Santana
LaPorta
Cabrera
Hannahan
Need Sizemore's power in the middle and need to take the pressure of calling the game and hitting cleanup off Santana as he is struggling now. -

There you have it.@MLBastian: Acta likes Brantley 7th because him & OC can "create more traffic" for LaPorta. Also, w/ Brantley on base, LaPorta could see more fastballs -
OQBGlad to hear that is the reason.... and not entitlement just because he is Grady Sizemore and that is where he has always hit.
-
OQBGrady swings at that high fastball every single time!

Would have had he noticed it got by the catcher. Still almost got it though.
Side note, I have never been an Indians fan; but it is nice to see them playing good baseball. -
iclfan2Carrasco with the K to end the inning. Let's go Tribe keep the heat on! Great hit by Santana.
