Indians vs Orioles Series Thread

Off today, but back to work Friday against the Orioles.

Need to regroup from the trip out west and play good baseball in front of your home fans!

People are freaking out over the 2 game skid, and it was poor hititng. But we went 4-2 on the road out west. Cant complain AT ALL about that.

Heck, Ill always take coming home to first place after a trip out west. It seems in the past like we could go for a 3 game series up 15 games and come back a game down in the standings lol.

That's what I said in the thread last night. 4-2 on a road trip is great, especially out west. I'm really looking forward to the pitching matchup in the game tomorrow. Britton vs Masterson. Actually, all the matchups look intriguing. Guthrie v Tomlin Saturday and another good looking young arm the O's have in Brad Bergesen vs Talbot on Sunday. Both of these teams have some promising young starters. The key to the O's is keeping Roberts off base, easier said than done.

    Go Tribe!

I'm heading home this weekend, hopefully I'll be able to make the game tomorrow night.

Orioles have started well. If we can keep our pitching where it's at we'll be in good shape this year.

Indians still playing good baseball right now, especially the pitching.

Should be able to take the series at home imo.

Off topic, Grady went yard today against the Mud Hens and made a solid diving catch in CF. I'll be heading up to watch the game tomorrow night, exicted to see him play.

He also batted lead-off I think, and demonstrated EXACTLY why he CANT for the Tribe. Struck out in first at bat, and struck out later in the game with bases loaded (took 3 straight pitches).

Can't wait to get Grady back. Just wonder where he will hit. I think you have to keep Brantley leading off.

Looks like rain on Saturday but 50's and dry Friday and Sunday, after a nice streak I expect to see a lot more fans this weekend. I'll be back in Ohio in next month to see my first Tribe game of the season, cant wait!

They are playing the Mud Hens, Tickets arent bad, but its the opening weekend, I wouldnt be surprised if they were sold out all weekend.

Grady needs to hit in the 7-9 spot.....

The Indians need to win two of the trhee against Baltimore. They have to win the series against teams like that to have some cushion when they play the tougher teams on the schedule.

Santana will get the night off. Definitely a good idea. I think he's pressing being in the 4 hole and Choo isn't doing him (Santana) any favors, with the pitches he's seeing, with his slow start.

I'm pissed I had tickets to the games last yesterday but ended up stuck in the ER all day. Worst time to get sick all year. Oh well

As for the series it'll be interesting to see how the team rebounds from dropping the last two in LA. Hopefully there will be a better fan turnout for this series as interest in the Indians is higher then it's been for awhile.

Carlos Santana is getting tonight off. Half because he's played every game thus far and he's in an 0-20 slump. Lot's of good pitching match-ups this series as well. I believe I read that Fausto was going to take Talbot's start to keep him on a 5 day schedule.

Not sure if this one will turn out well with the way the Indians have been scoring runs lately, and the fact this guy has given up 1 run this season.
  • DeadliestWarrior34
I think that either one of these guys has a legit no hit chance today.
  • dhs22p
Good start for the Tribe. Up 3-0 bases loaded.
  • OQB
    Nice inning here....

The Indians are now 7-10 with the bases loaded this year.

Well I look like an idiot already. I Was hoping that we left those boneheaded baserunning blunders on the west coast.
  • BR1986FB
    Masterson looking sharp....so far
  • BR1986FB
Druby makes it 7-1 with a one out, bases loaded single...
  • BR1986FB
    8-1 on a Choo double....
  • BR1986FB
    8-2 Tribe WINS...WAHOO !!!
  • BRF
