Glad a mod finally realizes this, or at least publicly stated this. I have tried talking hockey numerous times, and if you aren't bowing down to Pitt, rock will resort to his immaturity. It would be nice to actually discuss hockey. I am not a pitt fan, but I have given them their props before, especially fighting to a 3-1 series lead without two of their best players. If Byslma (spelling?) doesn't win the coach of the year, then it will be a crime.

I don't think any Pittsburgh fan overlooked the Habs after they beat the #1 seeded Caps. I sure as hell didn't. Pissing down your leg is not losing in 7 to a team that just knocked off the #1. That series could have went either way...unfortunately we came out on the short end. lol...you have no idea wtf you are talking about.

The fact that Tampa took Pitt to OT last night with 1 solid line is telling.
Both teams are rather banged up and in my view both teams won't advance past the next round.

I'll take my chances against anyone in the league, especially the way Pittsburgh's defense and goaltending is playing. The Pens finished fourth, more points than division winner Boston, tied Philly on points and almost won the conference with out Crosby and Malkin for a reason.

IMO Pittsburgh can hang with anyone, and also get waxed by anyone. Game 2 for example.

Its all about the match ups. I've said it before I don't think they will make a deep run, but anything can happen.

Please give me some examples. If giving up a goal on a nice play to St Louis and on a mad scramble around the net is bad defense then you need to brush up on your knowledge of the game. Defensively, Pittsburgh is one of the best in the league, if not the best in these playoffs thus far.

Also, you're saying Tampa is not healthy right now? They have their entire lineup at their disposal, the Pens don't have their two best players and one of their key role players, yet they have dominated the bulk of play in this series. If anyone has health issues it's Pittsburgh!

Periods in the 2nd and really in the 3rd were all Tampa. And that was a hurt Tampa team. Granted, the Pens did have a solid defensive effort most of the game. But, they do have spots when they are really lax.

In terms of the East, the Habs are playing pretty solid hockey and like last year could continue their hot streak.The Sabers have an even better defense than the Pens in my view and Miller is in Olympic form. He is the hottest goalie in the playoffs right now. Then there is the Caps, while yes they are Caps, it is a different team and they actually play defense.
I also doubt Philly or Boston advance, I like Buf. and Mon really.
Yeah, the East is open and so is the west.

I also think there are 6 teams better in the West than the Pens,but that is neither here nor there.
