    The Torres hit was high and pretty brutal. Was he given a major? If so I'm cool with it. I don't really like to dwell on hits unless there is BLATANT intent to injure. I think both in the Pens game were worse than Torres'.....but thats just my opinion. Its the fucking playoffs and its hockey...players are going to get lit up.

    Torres got a minor and no suspension. Downies' hit was very similar which is why i think he won't get suspended.

    Yeah it could probably go either way. I didn't get a great look at Downie's bc I was watching on my tiny ass window from the online stream. It looked like he left his feet to go high?

    Regardless....its one game at worst. Sit out and move on. If Pittsburgh wins tomorrow they will be sittin pretty.

    He definitely left his feet and it's a concensus opinion that he did by just about every hockey expert in the media. He also went after Lovejoy's head and factor in that it's Steve Downie, a well known repeat offender, the rest "should" be history. BUT......it's Colin Campbell and the NHL so anything could happen.

    You'd think SI, ESPN or Bleacher Report would have written something about a possible suspension then huh? In fact, in their game recaps it don't mention the hit being dirty let a lone a possible suspension. Nice exaggeration, if by hockey expert you mean another pitt homer you heard on the radio, then yes every expert has weighed in.

    no never said it was clean, said it was similar to torres who was not suspended which is why i don't think downie will be. never said anything about it being clean, and also referenced three sports site that did not mention the hit being dirty or a possible suspension.

    Were those on the ESPN NHL home page? Didn't think so, so obviously not that big a deal. Again, if they thought they were dirty hits and should be suspended more would be written about it. Not just a poll questions and a video from the PENGUINS team page
