Indians vs Mariners Series Thread

The offense has never really been an issue.

Choo will be fine, he started off slow last year as well. He's a very streaky hitter, it's just when he's on he's unstoppable..

Grady coming back will be huge as well..

Don't forget...Grady isn't back yet either. I'm sure it will take him a few at bats to get in the groove, but add him to this lineup and lookout! This team could be dangerous if you take them lightly.

I don't think Grady will be much help. He has gone from potential superstar to a average role player imo.

Sizemore has been a huge letdown for over a season, if he adds something positive offensively its a bonus. Not expecting much to be honest, basically a strike out machine with a homer here or there. Right now, I'd have him hit 7th or 8th imo, possibly 9th.

Apparently according to the Safeco Field trajectory charts for HR balls, Hafner's bomb only went 378 feet.

Manning said that's the longest 378 he has ever seen.
  • Laley23
Im not terribly worried about the offense. Choo will come around. Brantley has hit .300 everywhere he has been. Asdrubal is a nice 2 hole hitter. Orlando is a professional hitter and winner. Santana is just a fucking stud.
Then you had to expect some guys to live up to expectations between LaPorta, Hafner, and Sizemore. If its 2 of 3 or hell all 3, then it is just stupid good. But even with only the first 5 guys I mentioned you were going to have a decent offense.

The biggest issue was and will continue to be the starting pitching. So far, so good...but its only 7 games in.

I don't write guys off due to injury.

CC may give up a run or two here with Ichiro up with 2 on and 1 out.

I would happen to agree with him.

Grady didn't exactly light it up pre injury to my knowledge, but right now I've been drinking so my knowledge is limited.
  • Laley23
Does Safeco know that the measurement is supposed to keep going after the ball hits the glass in the upper deck? 378 my ass.

I'm pretty sure his last full healthy season he was a 30/30 guy. Could be wrong though, but whatever.. We have a good offense with or without Grady..

Agreed. Until he cuts down the Ks substantially (not likely) he cant be top of the order. Just a huge rally killer when he whiffs.

Lol, I don't disagree with what you said at all, but it reminds me of this:

Cerrano, he’s lyin’ in the weeds. Vaughn, he’s had a slow start, but the important thing is, they’re going to erupt. They’re going to bust loose. Watch out!

Exactly. Easily over 400 feet. It hit the freaking windows in the second deck for goodness sake..
  • OQB
That was definately longer than 378....

CC needs to settle down and get his rythym back.

That I do agree with. Never liked him leading off, Wedge never understood that though.
  • hoops23
CC lost his rhythm after that big inning, but he still gets the outs when he needs them. Looking good.

that's what i was thinking as well. no way that only goes 378 if it doesn't hit the glass

As long as the young guys hit this offense will be dangerous.

Off topic, but the camera guy must be as horny as I am. He has shown the hottest bitches at the start of every inning. Kudos man kudos.

What is your favorite 2011 uniform combination?

Mine is the Blue top with white pants....I have always loved that uniform.
