Jonny Bonds getting the day off in left is somewhat surprising. -
thavoiceNot a bad idea getting Heisey back to back starts replacing two diff guys.
cannot win them all unless ya win the first five.
In Baker We Believe -
se-alumLove the fact that Stubbs is doing a better job of making contact this year.
-
Commander of AwesomeI still get pissed everytime I see Phillips on the reds roster. SMH at the Tribe for getting rid of him bc of Ronnie Freaking Belliard.
-
justincredibleHaha, yeah. Who did we give up for him? That was a major fleecing.

Player to be named later. I have no idea who that was. Phillips was kinda becoming a persona non grata for the Indians because (a) he flopped in his early stint in the bigs and (b) Tribe fans might know more about this, but I remember people on the Huddle talking about coaches wanting to adjust his plate approach or something and he wasn't receptive to it, so he got a prima donna reputation and they wanted to get rid of him. -
thavoicePTBNL.
Jeff Stevens. -
Commander of AwesomeYeah Phillips and the Grinder didnt get along. Stevens never even pitched for the Tribe far as I know.
-
thavoicehe was a dog in cleveland, and it is a very good chance if a trade wasnt made he woulda been outta the game already. change of scene helped him big time I think.
-
daveIs this the best defensive lineup in baseball? Hanigan would make it slightly better but not by much.
-
daveCards and Cubs lost today.

I've been happy with Gomes so far this year, but I would like to see Heisey get some more PT. He's an upgrade defensively and he just seems to get the job done with the bat.thavoice;734591 wrote:Not a bad idea getting Heisey back to back starts replacing two diff guys.

Stubbs (and the team in general) look a lot different this year. They all seem to have different approaches and have been extremely patient thus far. Stubbs looks like he is going to be even better than I had imagined he was going to be this year.se-alum;734611 wrote:Love the fact that Stubbs is doing a better job of making contact this year. -

Saw a shirt at GABP with "In Dusty We Trusty" on it. -
Laley23Glad Phillips is in the line-up. Didnt he have to be taken out after a hit to the chest yesterday?

He slid (awfully) into a base and basically did a belly flop on the dirt. Says he just got the wind knocked out of him, but it wouldn't go away...he's fine though. -

He couldn't get his breath after that slide last night.
And once again, I get the Cavs and not the Reds. -

mhs95_06Volquez with command issues early, again!
-
Midstate01Wow how did bill hall actually get out????? Pretty much assumed it'd be 4-0 when he stepped in the box
-
osu45804Volquez is up to 32 pitches, 3 walks and a single... down 1-0 with bases loaded and still 2 out
34 pitches ... 3-0
