Is NASCAR a sport?

  Wow, no its not a sport. Theres nothing even remotely athletic about it. It takes as much athletic skill as playing a video game. If Nascar is a sport than so is driving is Monster Truck/semi truck.

  I don't watch the other forms of racing, so I honestly couldn't tell you what goes on. And yes, Danica races in the Nationwide Series. She is on a top team and she still sucks. Nothing new. She has no business being in there, just like any other woman that has ever been in there. But it's part of NASCAR's whole 'diversity' program. If a woman drove and was competitive, I can see your argument. But fact is, there isn't any competitive women in any NASCAR series.
