wes_mantooth2007 ECF game 6.
Overpaid for tickets, but me and my kid had the time of our lives. It was like Mardi Gras in downtown Cleveland after the game. Woke up the next day and my kid's picture was in the Plain Dealer. Great pic of him shooting foul shots at fanfest outside the Q. -
Non- 2002 Wild Card game Steelers comeback win over the Browns
- 2004 AFC Divisional playoff game Steelers win over the Jets after Doug Brien missed 2 late FGs
- 2005 AFC Divisional playoff game Steelers win over the Colts at the RCA Dome
- 2008 AFC Championship Game Steelers win over Ravens
- Super Bowl XLIII in Tampa, Steelers win over Cardinals
- 2010 AFC Divisional Playoffs, Steelers win over Ravens
- 2010 AFC Championship Game, Steelers win over Jets
A lot of great NFL playoff moments to choose from. I'd say Polamalu's interception return vs. the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game and this year's Ravens game in the third quarter when the defense got all charged up were the two most electric moments as far as being a fan in the stands.
a few others
2001 Eastern Conference Semifinals Pens vs. Sabrers - I was just thinking about this yesterday when the Pens got Kovalev back. One of the classic games was Game 6 of this series when the Pens were down 3-2. They trailed by one with a minute left in Game 6 at Mellon Arena. Kovalev's shot from the deep got deflected high in the air and landed in front of the goal and Lemieux knocked it in to tie the game. Then the Pens won in OT on a goal by Martin Straka to force Game 7 in Buffalo, which they eventually won. I was at that Game 6, though.
New Middletown Springfield Local vs. Cleveland VASJ in the football playoffs in like 2001 or 2002. My former high school team won this playoff game against VASJ on the last play of the game. The QB threw up a heave from about the 50 yard line, it deflected off of a defender and receiver/tight end Isaac Smolko (who went on to play at Penn State and in the NFL) at about the 20, popped up in the air, the defender fell down, and Smolko picked it out of the air and ran in for the score with no time left to win. The fans all rushed the field. Students and parents. Amazing finish. -

PS, how could I have forgotten! I was at Mark Messier's final game ever in the NHL (he scored a goal too, at the Garden) ... was also at the Rangers' first home game after 9-11, very emotionally-charged atmosphere.BigAppleBuckeye;691332 wrote:1. OSU beats Miami for the National Championship in 2003 in Tempe
2. Mets beat Cubs to clinch 1986 National League East title (I was a kid, but I will never forget the Shea faithful storming the field)
3. Nets NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003 -- went to three games, Nets went 0-3 haha, still was cool to see Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Robinson, Kidd, etc
4. I am no Yankee fan, but I was at the Yanks-BoSox game in 2004 when Jeter dove into the seats head first, Manny hit two bombs, etc
5. OSU beats Notre Dame in 1995 - I climbed the goal post after the game, my photo still resides in Schmidts in German Village, Columbus
6. Yankees-Mets, first ever Interleague matchup in 1997 at Yankee Stadium
7. OSU NCAA tournament in Indianapolis in 1999, they beat two scrubs, but it was such fun experience
8. Seton Hall- Georgetown in 1992 (I think), got to see Mourning and Motumbo play together, awesome time
9. Mets beat Braves to clinch 2000 Wild Card (they year they went to the World Series)
10. 1999 Memorial Tournament, got to see Tiger, Jack, etc, very cool -
Con_AlmaThe Midshipmen beating Notre Dame in South Bend for the first time in 60 years in triple OT.

skankMy buddy and I were at the Brown Jets playoff game in 86, I admit I wanted to leave but he talked me out of it and thank goodness he did, the Browns finally came back and won. The thing I remember most was when the jets were in the huddle with their backs to the endzone by the dawg pound and they were just getting pelted with everything anyone could find to throw.

Got jumped by a bengals fan...popped me in the face from behind...and ran across the road right way. Pussy. He almost got hit by a car thouggh!
Few I almost forgot. Local town hosted the NCCAA national championshipi for baseball a few years. (National Christian Collegiate......).
1. First year Faulkner was down by a few runs in the bottom of the last inning. Two strikes.......pitch on outside corner...damned near strike three. I woulda rung him up. Next pitch.......walkoff moon shot that I do not think landed yet for a walkoff HR to win the National Champoinship.
2. Couple years later......Bethel was down by close to 9 or so runs going ino the second to last inning. Had to beat Faulkner twice eto win teh NCCAA championship again.
Tourney director brings down trophies and puts behind Faulker dugout. Bethel scores 9 or so runs in the last two innings to force another game. In that final game, bethen is down by 3-4 going into the last inning. Tourny directors starts to do it again....and i say to him...'do you remember what happened last game.?' and he says....'i am just seeing if it works again. and it did...Bethel scores 4-5 in the bottom of 7 to win the NCCAA champ again!
I know..not huge sporting event but they were remarkable games. -

Johnson and Johnson, accounting. However, the program is a 3 part cycle. First was the internship, then the Cinci (this year) branch and soon she will be transferred for another year, likely Philly or New Jersey. -
