Ironman9230 is good stuff....Uggla will now be taken seriously...no more jokes.

Tiger2003Cliff Lee just hit his 2nd HR of the season to give the Phillies a 2-0 lead in the 7th.
-
Tiger2003Lee picks up his 12th win and the Phillies are 36 games over .500 for the first time since the end of the 1977 season.

I'd be worried about peaking a little early....but you always want to win and they definately are. -

Not really worried about it. They are possibly going to a 6 man rotation to give the arms a rest. The Phillies need to keep winning because the Braves aren't losing. -

Having Halladay or Hamels doing a 6 man is really over thinking things....atrocious idea. -
karen lotzBraves FINALLY released Scott Proctor today.

I was at one of the games in question (July 14). Looks like they were saying the runners were stealing them from 2nd base that day.
I was sitting in the section right beside the batters eye in center, wish I would have known to look for this white shirt guy, lol.
And by the way, the Jays hung 16 on the board during this game, lol. (no HRs though) -

How so? They aren't doing it for sure. Not a bad way to give the guys a extra day rest down the stretch. -
Tiger2003Worley down 5-0 after 1 not a good way to start the game off.
-
Ironman92Halladay is a machine...like the guys from the 70's and early 80's.......he needs to be out there every 5. I would bet money he would be better in a 4 man rotation than a 6. Hamels needs to be out there every 5?
I mean are they tired? If Roy is saying he's a little winded and legs are weak....then yes......but no way in hell is he ever breathing those words. Few would be against putting Halladay and Hamels in a 6 man rotation more than me. -
Tiger2003I'm just saying what is being reported during the past couple of games. The reason they are talking about doing it for a couple of starts is that Halladay, Lee are 1-2 in innings pitched and Hamels is 4th on the list. I agree Halladay is a machine but it would be nice to give him an extra day of rest here and there since the Phillies just finished up a 20 in 20.
-
karen lotzHalladay, Lee, and Hamels didn't just finish up 20 in 20.
-
Ironman92Shit I forgot about Lee....lulz
I just think it is an awful idea UNLESS those 3 pitchers are teh root of the idea.....otherwise I'm beyond against it. -
Tiger2003Phillies down 6-0 cut it to 6-5, Dodgers make it 7-5, and the Phillies now lead 9-7. Utley hits 2 run single then Howard hits a 2 run shot to left field.
-
Laley23Yeah, why mess with their routine if they arent tired? It isnt like these guys are rookies who need their innings cut down. They USUALLY lead the lead in innings pitched (top 5).
-
Tiger2003Well the Phillies complete their 10 game West road trip going 9-1. Sweeping the Rockies and Dodgers and taking 3 of 4 from the Giants.

Charlie has done that the last 3 years so if he wants to do it again this year it's fine by me. -
Tiger2003Uggla extends his streak to 31 games with a 2 run single in the 1st.

Didnt realize that. Of course, he didnt have these guys for a full year before. Either way, I doubt it matters. Their rest usually gets all fucked up in the playoffs anyway. -

It's fine by me too...but I don't root for the Phillies. -
Ironman92Uggla at 31 now...2 run single up the middle
He's nearing Benitoville. -

He's had Hamels for all 3 of those years and Doc all of last year. Even when we got Lee in 09 he switched to the 6 man. Just something he does. -
Laley23Granderson with 2 HR tonight, giving him a career high 31 on the year. Will he get 40?
