Random MLB chatter

Polanco and Whiteside were grappling when Phillies catcher Brian Schneider tried to pull Polanco away. But both fell in the process and ended up in the bottom of the pile. Victorino pushed away Muchlinski to get back into the fray, eventually being held back by Phillies hitting coach Greg Gross. But that did not last long. It appeared Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval had Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz in a choke hold. Victorino said he noticed Ruiz in trouble and dove back in, taking down Giants hitting coach Hensley Meulens in the process.

Cole Hamels throws another CG for the Phillies pitching staff. Hamels gave up his only run on a solo shot by Sandoval in the 9th. This is 9 in a row for the Phillies, looking to get the 4 game sweep tomorrow afternoon. Oswalt returns from the DL to make the start.

Uggla is up to .220 and now has 24 HR...it's getting pretty silly how hot he is....from Rob Deer to Ted Williams.
  • karen lotz
Crazy that Freddie Freeman has been almost as hot as UGGLA too. First time two teammates have had 20 game hitting streaks at the same time in the modern era.
  • karen lotz
Also, Freeman is 21 years old.
  • Ironman92
The Braves and Rangers just seem to pull out endless numbers of young superstar potential players from their organization.

Uggla is ridiculous. Streak at 28 on an 8th inning opposite field single.

Mark Reynolds hit an absolute BOMB into the upper deck at Camden.

Phillies finally lose. Snaps a 9 game winning streak but it's not all bad we are still up 8 1/2 games.

I picked up Freeman a few weeks ago on my fantasy league. I really like him. You guys have a stud.

That game last night was ridiculous...it was 11pm and not to the 9th inning. Obviously I'm a big Red Sox fan but jeeeez.

    Uggla is ending it tonight.

Big Papi just hit a silly no doubter in Minnesota.

    Hustle keeps it going!
  • Tiger2003
Victorino has been suspended 3 games no Giant was. Shane will appeal the ruling. Rameriz, Whiteside and Polanco were all fined.
  • Ironman92
I'm sure they'll lose as I type this...but the Red Sox offense is not fair right now.

Jacoby Ellsbury with a MVP near season of power speed and average, Pedroia is hitting .440 since May, Adrian Gonzalez is baseball's MVP, Ortiz is having another good year, Crawford is now hot, Youklis and even #9 hitter Scuturo has 7 consecutive hits.
  • Tiger2003
Phillies win their 7th game on the current 10 game road trip with 2 more before returning home. Doc Halladay picked up his NL leading 15th win. Cliff Lee goes for his 12th win tomorrow night.
  • Ironman92
C'mon man....even rookie Jerome Walton made it to 30 to drive his 1989 Upper Deck Rookie
  • karen lotz
Uggla gets to 30 on another infield hit, this time to deep short.
