karen lotzCiti Field is horrible at measuring HRs. Chipper hit one into a part of the park that Mets employees had never seen a ball land and it was listed at 412.

Braves had runners at 2nd and 3rd, no one out and didn't score. Uggla hits a ground ball towards the 5.5 hole, but the 3rd basemen cuts it off and throws Prado out at home by 15 feet. Ellis makes a web gem to rob Heyward of an RBI single, and then Gonzo lines one off the pitcher that deflects to Tulo for a barehanded groundout. Should have scored 4 runs. -

Really. I know it was pulled, but that ball wasnt like a moonshot on its way down...where without bleachers it only lands 0 feet behind the wall. Without the bleachers that ball goes over 400 feet. -
TBone14No mention of what the Padres did to the Marlins tonight? Top 3 in the order combined for 8 hits and 8 runs. They batted around in the 1st scoring 4..then went through the lineup and a half again in the second. During the top of the 2nd, only Orlando Hudson didn't have a hit. He was 0-1 with a walk. When I was watching, the Padres had 5 players who were 2 for 2, and there was 1 out in the 2nd. That does not happen very often in Major League Baseball.

Ok. I only watched it once and figured we got some bullshit measurement again. I also have no clue how far the right field fence is in that park. -

karen lotz12 game hitting streak but he left the game afterwards with a possible right hamstring injury. Hopefully he doesn't miss much time at all, because as much as I (we) joke about him, he really is hitting the ball hard A LOT lately.
