Couldn't help but to laugh when the woman was covering the kids eyes. The TV crew for some reason took the outfield cam and showed him pinned down behind second base. Couldn't see anything of the person but that's more than they usually show. I suspect other footage will appear on youtube soon.hoops23;784440 wrote:3rd streaker on the field today during the M's - Yanks game.. Crazy North-westerners... -
Tiger2003Cliff Lee is well not off to a great start this year. Getting rocked once again this time by the Nats. 5 runs through 3.

He knows when to turn it on. I wouldn't bet against him in the playoffs. -

He has been the definition of inconsistent. Great 1/a couple starts and then horrid. -

Oh trust me I'm not. But damn it just gets old. After tonight he will be 4-5 with a 3.60+ ERA. Just hate how he is great one start and shitty the next. -
TBone14Longoria with a two-out, 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th to beat the Rangers. Rays scored 4 of their 5 runs in the 7th and 8th. The Rays have just been plugging along w/ nothing from Longoria. If he gets going..watch out.

...and WTF is Matt Joyce hitting 7th for them tonight? Couldnt figure that out. -

I like Joe Maddon but sometimes I think he outhinks himself. Why would the hottest hitter in the league hit 7th? -

Exactly lol. I mean, he hit a 2 run HR, so whatever works. But he was raking at 3, 4, and 5 all year. Why move him so far down. Whatever. -
MulvaJoyce has been raking against righties. Hitting about .230 with no power against lefties before tonight. And lefties have hit .184 against CJ Wilson for his career. Not that weird of a move IMO.

Its a bit odd. Joyce has been getting benched versus the lefties, but when played still hitting 5th usually. Why put him at 7 as opposed to benching him again?? I mean he has less than 30 ABs versus lefties all year. Not a great sample size. -

Same reason why Longoria is hitting lead off, and that reason, only Maddon knows.Laley23;787287 wrote:Its a bit odd. Midstate01I find it a little odd that the giants are making the comments they are making about cousins taking out posey. And fans sending death threats to cousins. This from the fan base who just went crazy over fans going over the line in LA.

SportsAndLadySomething happen with Papelbon and a manager? Saw a little bit on Twitter about a confrontation on the mound?
-
karen lotzNot a manager, but an umpire. He and Varitek were tossed in the 9th. Papelbon kind of went after the home plate ump and chest bumped him.
-
SportsAndLadyPapelbon is such a bitch..could be my least favorite MLB player outside of the team in that meth-infected state of Missouri.

riders1Rangers with the sweep against the struggling Indians, or has an overachieving team suddenly realized they are the Indians. Tigers win moves them within 2 1/2 games. 3 with the Twins, which now doesn't look like a breather, then 4 at the Yankees ( who have tied for the best record in the AL) and 3 at Detroit. Looks like an interesting 11 days ahead. Will 1st place have a new occupant soon?

If the tribe comes out of this stretch in first place, I will be shocked. They are getting beat by better teams, but a four game sweep at home is unacceptable. -
Ty WebbWhat can the Reds do to solve the problem at SS?
Any chance they go out and make a big splash and get Jose Reyes? -

There have been whispers, but I doubt the Reds can/want to pay the asking price that the Mets want. He's a rental playerWhat can the Reds do to solve the problem at SS?

riders1What a 2 week collapse! Indians at 30-15 up by 7 games 2 weeks ago, now have gone 3-10 to drop to 33-25 and soon to be only up by 1 1/2 as the Tigers are ahead 9-2. They now look as bad as the preseason projections made them out to be. Even .500 the rest of the way looks like a dream and won't get them 1st place at the seasons end. The offense has completely disappeared and the pitching can't carry them as too many young arms will surely give out before long. No veteran leadership, underproducing supposed studs, minor leaguers are not ready to shoulder the load yet, no tradeable value players. No easy fix!

Might be time for Harper to get a fastball or two in his ear hole. Also, Adam Morrison and Byron Mullens are jealous of his mustache. -
riders1Featherheads will keep their 1 1/2 game lead, as the Tigers look like they will lose tonight. Verlander on Thurs. against Seattle could bring them to within 1 game of the featherheads.
