Are injuries piling up for the Reds? Seems like I see someone else is out every other day.

Welp according to Fay, the opening day roster is all but official.
    Here’s your Opening Day roster:

Starters: Volquez, Wood, Arroyo, Leake and LeCure.

Relievers: Francisco Cordero, Nick Masset, Aroldis Chapman, Bill Bray, Logan Ondrusek, Jared Burton, Matt Maloney.

Infielders: Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips, Paul Janish, Scott Rolen, Miguel Cairo, Edgar Renteria, Francisco.

    Catchers: Ryan Hanigan, Ramon Hernandez.

Outfielders: Jay Bruce, Drew Stubbs, Jonny Gomes, Chris Heisey.
Everyone's favorite mustache starts the year in the minors.

I want Corky on the coaching staff.

maybe he could be a bullpen coach? wonder if those guys have to be similar to pitching coaches. hopefully him and larkin are boys.

I think Stubbs is going to have a breakout year. He struggled last year at times, but when you look at what the numbers he finished up with, they were really impressive! The power and speed combo is rare. Would just like to see him make more contact, but that will come

I could see him having a breakout year, but only if they keep him out of the leadoff. He was awful in that spot. He strikes out too much and he doesn't see enough pitches. 6, 7, or 8 are perfect for him right now.

COrky talked about managing in sundays DDN, think in an article with Hal McCoy. He said he thought about it 4-5 years ago but his friends suggest him to play as long as he can! Says he still gets contracts, albeit bad ones, but as long has they offer he will sign.

Could be a good manager...who knows. Catchers seem to be good managers as they see and are involved in so much

For sure. Yesterday when he hit a 3 run bomb there were runners on first and second. No sign of a bunt to put pressure on the D, 2-0 count and he swung at a ball on the edge. Then he pops one to right. Not a bad thing at all, just not what you need from a leadoff guy. Just put him 5th or 6th and let him use the power for now.
