Bengal Fans????

Al CaponeThe Bungals are 8-3 and you fans think they are the greatest ever. I can understand your excitement since they havent won a playoff game since who knows, but I hope you realize that if they meet up against the Steelers in the playoffs,it wont be pretty. Sorry, no hard feelings just the truth.
-
gerb131I used to think that was true until recently. You don't want to come to Paul Brown this year.
-
This_DJ_3dude we do a chant talkin bout "who dey think gonna beat them bengals....NOBODY!!!" even when we suck. what did you imagine we'd be like when we got decent?
-
Al CaponeI dont honestly think they are decent. If the Steelers actually have their whole team, the game will be over at the half. I can only hope that they meet in the playoffs.
-
friendfromlowryHa this is hilarious. Are the Pittsburgh Steelers even going to make the playoffs?? Last I checked you guys were vying with about six other teams to make it. I bet you didn't think Kansas City was that good either, oh whoops they beat you. IF you make it in, I'm sure the Bengals would be happy to make it 3-0 on the season. Crawl back to the TV and worry if Big Ben is playing this Sunday, instead of trying to insult a team that's handled you pretty well this season.
P.S. - Forget the injury excuse, too. Oh Polamalu isn't playing so our defense isn't any good. Who cares? Injuries happen to every team so quit whining. -
Al CaponeSeriously, the Bungal fans do not want their team to face the Steelers in the playoffs. Admit it.
-
TedShecklerSteelers have to make the playoffs first.
This thread brings the lulz. -

Getting swept by the Bengals...nice!Al Capone wrote: The Bungals are 8-3 and you fans think they are the greatest ever. Dropping 3 straight games...interesting!
Steelers top stars now squabbling...surprising!
Yet still somehow having the balls to talk smack...PRICELESS! -
killer_ewokNot all Steeler fans feel the same. I think the Bengals are a very good team this season. You guys have bragging rights for now and who the hell am I to deny you that as the Steelers usually have the bragging rights in this rivalry. Things have been going great for the Steelers. 2 Super Bowl wins in 4 years. The Bengals are usually pretty bad. Live it up. If I were a Bengals fan......I'd be thrilled and running my mouth constantly because these opportunities have been few and far between for you guys. Enjoy it while you can. Many of us thought the Bengals were here to stay a few years ago and then they faded pretty bad. Gotta give 'em credit now. Congrats and I mean that.

Azubuike24Call me cautiously optimistic, but this Bengals team could and should be 10-1. It's a different team. They aren't scared of Pittsburgh. They can beat Pittsburgh anywhere. Pittsburgh still has work to do to make the playoffs. With that said, the Bengals haven't won anything yet and they can't lose focus. With that also said, there isn't any reason they shouldn't feel confident about being able to hang with anyone in the AFC.
They match up with Indianapolis really well. To beat Indy, you need a team that can rush the passer and man up and defend the pass the entire game. That's the Bengals' strength. -
killdeer^^^agree, they match up well with anyone in the AFC...surprisingly!!...largely on the strength of their defensive presence.
(When has "Bengals" and "defense" ever been used in the same sentence??)
There is a lot of football to be played...and a lot of hurdles for the Bengals, and complacency is not an option. Having said all that, the challenges in front of the Bengals do not include the Steelers, at least not anymore this year. As far as 2009 is concerned...been there, done that. Bring on the next one. We'll worry about Ben and company next fall. -
killer_ewok^^^Unless they meet in the playoffs.....which could happen down the line. Not a real concern now though. The Bengals were riding high and hosted the Steelers in a playoff game a few years ago and you just can't count your chickens before they hatch.

Arnold.Dude if you can see the future like you claim to, then please tell me the winning PowerBall numbers for their next drawing.
Crapsburgh, with the way they're playing, will be lucky to make the Playoffs and if they come back to the Jungle, I doubt your "truth" will become reality. -

There is no way anyone can say the Bengals SHOULD be 10-1.Azubuike24 wrote: Call me cautiously optimistic, but this Bengals team could and should be 10-1.
They needed a TD in the final seconds, a TD in the final 2 minutes/overtime win, and a last minute TD to win 3 straight weeks early in the year. I could just as easily say they SHOULD be 5-6. Both equally ridiculous statements. -
Azubuike24They earned those wins. The only game I'd say they "snatched from the jaws of defeat" was the first Pittsburgh game.
They flat out gave away the Denver game in which they managed the clock perfectly and scored when they needed.
The Oakland game they dominated the entire game, made 2 very poor mistakes in the final 50 seconds and it cost them 10 points.
I'll be conservative and say they should probably be 9-2, but still. -

Really? We still hear terms like Kimo the Assassin, and how different that game would have been if Palmer would not have gotten hurt. Polamalu is just as important to the Steelers as Palmer is to the Bengals. So, yes the Steelers are a different team completely without him.friendfromlowry wrote: Ha this is hilarious. RiverRat13I guess I forgot where the Bengals have had zero injuries this year. Like their best pass rusher, best deep threat, and a starting safety are done for the year to go with their best linebacker not playing in Pittsburgh and their best running back only playing a quarter and a half in that game.
-
voewoody^^^
Yeah but when Palmer went down it was a different story... "One player doesn't make a team... Pittsburgh still would have won... blah blah blah" now the tables have turned.
Al Capone still thinks he can talk smack about a team that has already beat you twice... Good for you bud on thinking the Steelers will dismantle the Bengals if they meet again but really you have nothing to back that up with... Can i get some of your Kool-Aid???? -

Are ANY of these players the same caliber as Troy Polamalu?RiverRat13 wrote: I guess I forgot where the Bengals have had zero injuries this year. So when they won the close games, they earned them. When they lost, they gave it away, and the teams that beat them didn't earn it?? Spoken like a typical Bengals fan. They earned those wins. The only game I'd say they "snatched from the jaws of defeat" was the first Pittsburgh game.

killer_ewokSaying that the Steelers could beat the Bengals in Cincy in the playoffs isn't talking crap. One need only look back to January of 2006 to see what it is based on. In fact, I remember many Bengals fans saying the same thing back then and they were shellshocked after that loss. It took all the time since then for them to get back to this point. The Bengals are a good team, you guys should be happy and you do have bragging rights in this regular season. I just think some are getting a little ahead of themselves and completely looking past the Steelers in a hypothetical (a very possible) situation isn't very wise IMO.

Exactly, but his same Polamalu argument can be said for the playoff loss.. Palmer went down in the first 5 minutes of the game. Dude I respect the Steelers probably as much as any Bengals fan because they are good but don't get on here and say..killer_ewok wrote: Saying that the Steelers could beat the Bengals in Cincy in the playoffs isn't talking crap. Its just funny the logic Capone is using.. If a team that is not even decent has beat you twice already what makes you think they can make the playoffs? I could care less if the Steelers make the playoffs I hope they do and I hope they are healthy because obviously that is the only way a win counts against the Steelers right??? -

The Bengals haven't won a Playoff game since 1990 the longest current drought in the NFL and have played a grand Total of 1 Playoff game since 1990 and your'e calling Steeler fans about talking smack?voewoody wrote: ^^^
