wildcats20You do realize that Amare is not a center right?
And the fact that you don't have Rondo on ANY list is very confusing? As much as I hate him, he is having the best year of any of the PGs out there.
Oh and not that it matters; but when the NBA picks its All NBA teams, they pick 2 guards, 2 forwards and 1 center. It doesn't HAVE to be a PG and a SG. -
osu45804No Rondo = Fail

You do realize that Amare has played center a ton this year right? -

How do you detirmine what position a player plays. Amare plays both PF and C but I agree, in my head he's a PF. Then you have a guy like Jeff Green who is a SF but plays out of positions at the PF because of Durrant. There are countless examples of situations like this. -

Pau's a legit MVP canidate this season. Griffin isn't. 'nuff said. -
thedynasty1998If the Clippers continue to win some games, Griffin absolutely should get the nod over Gasol.
As for Rondo, I don't think he is better than any of the PG's listed. With that said, he will make one of the All NBA teams. -
september63Gasol MVP candidate? LOL. How? IF you are going to say its all about the rings and helping a team win the championship then take most guys off ur list, including LBJ, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard.

Yea, Gasol isn't even in the top 10 in MVP candidates. Usually you have to at least be the best player on your own team to get mentioned. -

I think LBJ will win it again, but Gasol is def in the top 10. Thats a testement to how good of a team the Lakers are.thedynasty1998;642432 wrote:Usually you have to at least be the best player on your own team to get mentioned. -

The NBA lists players at certain positions, which is things like this get voted for. If you go to NBA.com and find the All Star game ballot, that is basically all you need to use.You do realize that Amare is not a center right?

The example you gave us true, but can be used for almost every single player in the League. I mean look at Pau. He played the first 25+ games as the center for the Lakers. But no one considers him a center. And just because a player is out there playing the 5, doesn't make him a center(Amare in NY).
Most players, especially when a star is the same position, will be playing out of position. Taking the star off the team, let's use OKC, Jeff Green moves right into the 3. Which is his natural position. Which is the position the NBA uses.
And to your other point about SG on the thread, it's not that hard. You have 2 of the best to ever play that position in Kobe and D Wade. -
Commander of AwesomeWho would you put past Wade though? Pierce? I don't know, I'm just not comfortable putting him there. Same with Wade. Roy would have been in the conversation but man with his knee injuries I fear we've seen the best of him. Much like in the late 90-early 2000s I felt the NBA was lacking great PGs but were filled with great SGs (McGrady, Vince Carter, Kobe) I think the NBA has gone the other way and now have many great PGs and are weak overall at the 2 spot.

Pierce is a 3, plays the 3 and is listed as a forward. -

Listed as a SG/SF. He plays the 2 and even some of the 4 depending on the line up. -

Eh....straight from the C's roster.
34 Paul Pierce - (C) F 6-7 235 10/13/1977 Kansas 12 -
NateI'd pick Derrick Rose over Chris Paul right now.

LBJ will NOT win the MVP this year and I would be surprised if he is in the top 3. -

He derserves it over pierce, but past that, I cant argue with any other choices he has at the forward spot. -
Hb31187Should easily make it over Rudy Gay
