Pick6any word on the injuries to the steelers players? seemed like they were getting pretty beat up yesterday
-
NonMcFadden will be a big question mark. They can't afford to be short a defensive back, especially if they play New England.
Flozell Adams and Will Allen I think were the other two key injuries. -

He is not a franchise QB
Stop it Wes. -
NonI'll be the first to admit that the Steelers don't give a lot of performances where you're left saying "wow, that was a thing of beauty."
It seems like more often they win with toughness, heart, resiliency, emotion and things like that. The momentum of that game was really big. It worked against the Steelers in the first half when they made a bunch of mistakes, everyone got deflated, but then it turned around in the third quarter and the defense fed off the crowd and then you had the entire team in that mode where they're playing their guts out. Coach Tomlin was basically in tears in his postgame press conference.
You hear this cliche a lot but that type of game is truly what it's all about. You root for a team your whole life and the entire year to see them in a situation like that where the season is on the line and they're putting it all on the field. It's not about money. They genuinely, passionately wanted to win and not let their teammates down, the owner, the fans, and so on. -
NonI think, perhaps, a reason the Steelers struggle with New England is because the game takes on more of a cerebral nature. You're not simply going to out tough, out will the Patriots when Brady is at the controls.

Yeah, everything the Steelers did before that meant nothing.
As usual, you're wrong agian! The Steeler defense showed why they are the best in the league and Big Ben is one of the best big game QB's in the league. Chop it up any way you want pal.......Steelers win! -

Lol...to be fair, even though I am not a fan of him, they probably win that game if housh and boldin dont drop easy ones. -
stroupsChris Kemoeatu need fined and possibly suspended for the next game, he had 2 dirty ass late hits that were just plain cheap. If I were the Ravens I wouldn't forget that shit next year.

Flacco is "OK". Thus far he hasnt proven he can take a team to the next level. He hasnt played well in the playoffs in 3 straight years. Yesterday, despite the dropped passes, he looked pretty bad.
He is still young, and credit is given for getting to the playoffs 3 years already...but you gotta do something there before too long. -

LMAO....Yep make a statement out of the Steelers again. You see that shit all the time, guys coming late into a pile sometimes its called sometimes its not. Get over your self. -
killer_ewok
Maybe. Both teams left some plays out there though. For instance, Housh never gets the opportunity to drop that last one if Gay intercepts the pass that landed right in his chest a play earlier.wes_mantooth;640257 wrote:Lol...to be fair, even though I am not a fan of him, they probably win that game if housh and boldin dont drop easy ones.
Anyways, I'm still celebrating yesterday's win! HERE WE GO, STEELERS, HERE WE GO............ -

Furthermore, what the Ravens really need to think about in the offseason is how to beat the Steelers in the playoffs. -

yeah because the world is out to get the steelers LMAO...... and no, you don't see that shit all the time. Both those play were well over and IMO he was coming in with bad intentions. -

Bull shit you don't see guys coming onto piles all the time. Welcome to the Rivalry. Ward pancakes Reed and 5 Ravens go at Ward but Ward is hit with a 15 yard penalty. Like I have said before in this thread yesterdays game was very poorly officiated for both teams. Where did I say they are out to get the Steelers? Oh thats right no where. -

Kind of what I got out of that lol.... and I agree, the game was poorly officiated for both teams. I understand it's a rivalry and players are going to be "chippy" but there is no place in the game of football to fly in when the play is well over and hit somebody the way Kemoeatu did. To me that is cheap and dirty and warrants a fine. The more I think about it a suspension would be a little much but he needs to be sent a message. -

I agree that he should be fined. But suspension is a little much. But like I said I have it numerous time where a guy dives into a pile well after the play is over and all they get is a 15 yard penalty. But I do agree he should get a fine of some kind but that is it. -

I think the fact he did it twice is what makes it worse and thus the calling for a fine. If it was once, you can play the "it happens/he didnt know it was over/whatever" card. But twice kind of is an admission of guilt in a way. Almost like, well he got away with it once and went in again, so he had intent of some sort. -

I said he should be fined, but not suspended that is taking it to far. -
Pick6if andre johnson and cortland finnegan didnt get suspended, he sure as hell wont

That was a horrible call. You rarely ever see it....and when you do, it's a "bear hug" hold by a NT to allow a linebacker to blitz. But that's what happens during Ravens and Steeler games. Been going on for 3 years.Tiger2003;639772 wrote:The defensive player can't hold a offensive player when they are pulling or are trying to get to the 2nd level.
And speaking of bulshit calls. Not that it mattered....but where exactly was the illegal chuck on the 58 yard pass play? There was absolutely no contact down the field. But the refs wanted to make sure Pittsburgh got a first down on 3rd and 19...one way or another.
Congrats to the refs and the Steelers for advancing to the next round. -

And here I thought us Steelers fans were the whiners. What's the typical response when a Steeler fan complains about officiating.....
"CALL THE WAAAAAAMBULANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Sure, it's okay for others to do that shit though. 31-24. Read 'em and weep. AFC Title game next Sunday. Stock up on your Midol. And Kleenex. -

LOL...we've gone full circle from Cleveland fans laughing in anticipation of Non/Steeler fans in general crying about the refs...to a Cleveland fan crying about the refs. -
september63All I know is I cashed in on the Steelers -3 AND the Over 37!!

Oh I fully agree that he isn't an elite QB like Manning, Brady, or Big Ben. I just refuse to believe it's out of the realm of possibility that he can't lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl at some point. -
killer_ewokCongrats on a good season, bigdaddy. As much as I hate them......I respect the Ravens as they are some tough SOB's. And you're a pretty good poster on here so I think that's warranted.
