White Sox re-sign AJ Pierzynski
Yankees re-sign Mariano Rivera -
karen lotzBraves resigned Eric Hinske and didn't offer Matt Diaz a contract. They also skinned the ChiSox in the Linebrink deal, giving up a mid level type reliever while also getting cash.
-
karen lotzAtlanta also traded Omar Infante and Mike Dunn to the Marlins for Dan Uggla.
-
karen lotzTigers acquired Victor Martinez from the BoSox.
-
HereticPirates made a few non-tender moves. Including Lastings Milledge who's looking like one of those highly-touted first-round busts, although he's still only 25 or so. He wasn't horrible with the Pirates (and was very good against left-handers), but had no power and was poor enough against righties that I can't see him being anything more than a platoon guy/pinch-hitter.
In news that will amuse Indian fans, Pittsburgh signed Andy Marte to a minor league contract. -
BlanketReally looking forward to seeing what Thornton can do as the closer in Chicago.

San Diego is basically Heaven for any pitcher, especially those looking to revive their career. -

I think it is a player option rather than a team option. I wonder how many more millions the Yankee's wasted on that! -

He was bangin' Chase Utley's wife, of course they let him go. -
karen lotzBraves signed a lefty for the bullpen George Sherrill.
Funny quote regarding the signing. They had discussions with another left reliever Will Ohman who said he "could be the rug that ties the room together." A nice Big Lebowski reference. After learning of Sherrill's signing today he said "George Sherrill peed on my rug."
