HereticIn the always-exciting Rule 5 signings, Pittsburgh got AAA infielder Josh Rodriguez from Cleveland. From what I read, the dude has the potential to be a big league player, if not a starter, but had the rumored "attitude problems" with the Indians, which is why he wasn't called up late last year or protected. If any Cleveland fans have any insight on him, I'd be grateful. I could see him sticking with the Pirates through the entire year unless he really sucks and can't field. He can play the SS, 2B and 3B positions. Shortstop is a weakness and added depth at 2B and 3B behind Walker and Alvarez would be nice.
Pirates lost Nathan Adcock to the Royals. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets offered back simply because he's (a) not an elite prospect and (b) never been above the high-A level. He was good at Bradenton last year, but unlike Jeff Locke and Bryan Morris, didn't get called up to AA. -

Greinke has been asked to be traded. As part of he No Trade Clause, nearly half of the teams are on his list including the Yankees and Red Sox. -

Greinke is a great pitcher, but I'm not sure I want any part of him if I am the Yankees. I'd be scared to death of his mental make-up. He's already went off the deep end once, and that was in KC. What is he going to do in New York?
For those that don't know, in his 2nd or 3rd season, he acted real squirrely around his teammates and didn't get along with anybody, nor did he want to hang out with anybody. He also didn't want to be a pitcher right after he had just had a pretty decent season. Then one day he just said he had enough and went home during spring training and claimed he was retiring. He came back after a few weeks (and I think he came back medicated) but still, that thought would be in the back of my head if I were Cashman. -
darbypitcher22Greinke may have won a Cy Youn, but putting almost half the teams on his no trade list really limits his options

BlanketGrienke along with Yuniesky Betancourt has been traded to Milwaukee
Kansas City will get Alcides Escobar, Lorenzo Cain, Jake Odorizzi and a player to be named later.
Kansas City had a deal with Washington but he vetoed that deal. -
HeathAlum21I am somewhat surprised at the light load KC received.
