Miami Wades @ Cleveland Cavaliers- There will be a huge disappointment(JV thread)

completely agree. We played our best when Shaq got hurt and JJ started. JJ + LBJ would have been very entertaining to watch for years.

But how long does it take to get better through the draft? They are not going to have top 5 draft picks and the Miami picks will be in the 2nd part of the 1st round, so they are not likely to get a great player that late. They will obviously improve through the draft, but it's not like by drafting 15th and 23rd is going to get you two guys to completely change your franchise.

As for the game last night, what is up with Mo Williams? He didn't even look like he belonged on a NBA floor. Has that been the norm from him this year or did he just have an off night? The PG position is a weakness for the Heat, so I actually thought he would take advantage of that.

Gilbert had to be absofuckinlootly ashamed of his team. Should have canned Mo on the spot and fired the rest of them at the end of the game and forfeited the remainder of the season. LBJ more or less flipped a huge bird at the entire City and pissed in Lake Erie. Cleveburg hasn't been this laughably disrespected since The Drive.

I actually agree with this. I'm surprised we haven't heard from Gilbert. When they showed him in his seat, he looked like steam was coming out of his ears, and then his team doesn't show up, Mo Williams looks like he is throwing the game and Varejao and Gibson are acting buddy-buddy with Lebron.

I was expecting to turn on Sportscenter this morning to hear of Gilbert cutting several players.

With all the build up, the Cavs looked really really pathetic.

Thats why you can flush the NBA down the toilet...Get a hockey team ..Atleast a hockey team will defend for its city ...I wouldnt buy an NBA ticket to support those bums and I wont buy Nike either ....Your weak azz team let your town down ..All them hugs and laughs ..heck everybody knows they aint great but chit try and act mad ...you can shake hands after the game instead of chatting it up like your on coffee in the middle of it.......The KING still owns Cleveland and he still owns that team and you guys wont get any good guys in Cleveland unless they get an OK from Rielly and the KING...The Cavs owner is ok in my book .... He should sell that team today ....

This coming from the same guy who said the pirates wouldn't just lay down, even though they have had 20+ straight losing seasons. LMAO ok whatever you say.

18 straight to be exact. The losing streak is now "legal."

There is a big difference in "putting up a fight" when comparing baseball vs. basketball. In baseball if the pitcher is better than the hitter, there's not much you can do, regardless of how much fight you put up. And vice versa.

In the NBA, a bad team can still play hard, play physical, dive for loose balls, make hard fouls, etc... in an effort to play hard and to defend one's turf. That did not take place in Cleveland last night.

    Sure didn't.

Nor does it ever take place in PNC park lol.

Add me to the group of people who were chuckling while Cavs fans were chanting "you suck" while they were down 30+. I was like are you serious?

Hopefully Lebron's Cavalier lapdogs get taken to task by Gilbert/the radio guys/and fans. Sickening that they'd be laughing and joking around with him while getting walloped.

The thing that isn't being talked about, that I think is worth mentioning is that this is the team that Gilbert put around Lebron. Sure Lebron didn't show fight in game 4 last year (or whatever game it was), but the rest of the roster showed that they lack the same thing. Lebron carried that team to a height where some thought they were Championship contenders, yet they were a poor collection of NBA players. Gilbert gets credit for doing "whatever it took" to put guys around Lebron, but last night we saw what that actually was, and honestly it's a disgrace.

Lebron might not win a title in Miami this year, but if nothing else, it won't be solely on his shoulders. He has Wade and Bosh. And then two of Miami's best five players didn't even play last night (Haslem and Miller). Riley was able to put pieces around Lebron in a matter of weeks, something that Gilbert couldn't get done in all of Lebron's years in Cleveland.

Same old tired shit you always say. All I have to say is the FAILami Heat are the case in point, one player doesn't make a team win over 60 games a season and deep into the playoffs. the heat have 3 superstars and are barely treading water. You anti Cavs agenda is laughable and just make you sound like an idiot.

I wouldn't be too hard on Gilbert/Ferry, despite the fact that the Cavs are now a bunch of average role players, they are arguably more suited for Lebron than the current Heat team is. If you have Lebron you need to have a few things: guards who can move without the basketball/can hit 3s and then big guys who can bang and get rebounds (Lebron isn't a great shooter, plus his style will lead to long jumpshots for others). The Cavs had that, it was just that some of the guys they had that could do it, couldn't play a lick of defense against quick guards (Rondo cough cough)

Pretty embarrassing game by the Cavs last night. The whole buddy buddy thing was disgusting and as much as I like Boobie, he needs to be given the boot. I was looking forward to this game for a long time and for them to just shit down their leg and get blown out is a slap in the face to Cleveland.

The Cavs are going to compete for a playoff spot, but only because they can compete with bottom feeders, they aren't going to go out there and beat anyone good.

I understand that. Mo Williams is an off the ball PG, so he worked alongside Lebron. Varejao has much more value playing alongside someone like Lebron because he moves well without the ball and can play the pick and roll. Jameson can knock down the perimeter jump shot. However, after 7 years, that is the team that surrounded Lebron. I think Gilbert gets way too much credit for being a "great owner" when he failed Cleveland by not improving the roster.

What moves that we made or didn't make do you think we should have done? Boozer one is obviously, but besides that I dont fault them for any move they made. Got Mo Williams an all-star PG for Amon Fucking Jones. Got Jamison for a worthless draft pick, Varejao and Drew Gooden (he started for us in the playoffs lol) from Orlando for nothing. Every move that was made, was made in the mode to improve the team, money be damned. Paid well into the Luxury Tax, really improved the Arena/fan experience, etc... I could continue, but dude, stop it. You dont know what you're talking about. You're making vauge statements and bashing Varejao (usual) bc he stole you lunch money or something with nothing to back it up.

That sucked........I'm glad that I didnt have to pay for those tickets

The Cavs sucked. I know that they arent title contenders but they are better than what they played last night. They were more caught up in this hoopla than Bron was. They played scared and timid and they let the pressure of the game get to them.......no excuse for that performance

The crowd was awesome. We were up in 229 and had pretty good view of everything. Saw a couple guys in Bron jerseys get showered with beers and escorted out of the arena. The first guy had it coming, he was standing up and taunting the crowd when Bron went off in the 3rd quarter.

Positive note: Snowdays over at the Jake looks pretty solid.

Had a friend in that section who mentioned the beers. Definitely expected some of that.

And I also want to check out Snowdays at the Jake.

Maybe but that Cleveland team last night was not only missing Lebron from it but Z, Shaq and Delonte who all played their roles well.

Sir - Please give your definition of a troll. Not in a condescending or bullying way, but a true definition. I'm curious.

I don't understand how anyone can think that the current Cleveland roster is better suited for LBJ than Miami's. I'm not saying its a clear cut choice, but its definitely debatable. The only thing I'd give the edge to Cleveland is depth.

Also, Jamison is GARBAGE. I applauded that move when they got him, but he just flat out sucks. Maybe its just me, but he seems to be ice cold every game I watch him.
