Miami Wades @ Cleveland Cavaliers- There will be a huge disappointment(JV thread)

It's well documented that I'm no where near a Cavs fan or a Cleveland sports fan for that matter. But going into the game I was hoping to see them pull this one out. But in all honesty this team just laid down for LeBron and Miami in my opinion .... Now the team that showed up for the home opener against Boston could have probably beaten anyone that night. The were diving for loose balls, getting the 2nd chance points, and pulling down every rebound possible. I was expecting that team tonight but only 10 times more hyped up and excited to play this game. But either the emotions got the best of them and they were just mentally drained after 1 Quarter or they just were not ready to play this game. I expected AT LEAST one hard foul on LeBron just show that they are over what he did but the fans never even got that... Just my take on the game.

Was at the game and the place was rockin. Sad we laid an egg. Was hoping somebody would've brought a bucket of chum and pig's blood to dump on LBJ but it was not in God's plan. Would've liked to see at least one hard foul but I suppose that would be like Rob Schneider attacking Adam Sandler. Still have Xmas Ale. Go Cavs!

Did LeBron say something about his "greatness" in his postgame interview?

lol, my goodness... I think my IQ just dropped 50 points from bantering with you.

Read my earlier post, the signs and excessive chanting when down 30 was over the top. READ, READ, READ. You choose to banter, just like you choose to respond to my posts. Like I said....just ignore it. "Goodness" I wouldn't want that huge IQ of yours to suffer anymore.

They were asking him about what he thought of Cleveland, and he was talking about how he loves the city, and how he had so many great years with the Cavs, etc....then he said he wanted to "just continue with my greatness"

    lol

Are you frickin' serious? Booing Le Bron had nothing to do with the game. It had everything to do with their emotions of how he left town, and the crowd was not going to tuck its tails because they were losing to the Heat. LeBron had his moment treating the country to his narcissistic "Decision" played out over the airwaves to a national audience, This was his former fans response.
How do you not get that?

....and frankly, the fans came out better.

"Continue the greatness for myself here in Miami." I don't think that's TOO terrible.

What does Cleveland's draft look like for this offseason? How many pics in each round? I can't recall off the top of my head.

They picked up several picks in the LeBron trade. I don't remember the years and rounds off the top of my head.

I think most of the extra picks they got aren't until 2012 and beyond. I could be wrong though.

Did a post game interview with Craig Sager and I mentioned "Greatness" and I didn't mean my self individually, I meant to say US as a TEAM working towards "Greatness". Anyways Great Team Win for US tonight!

Bullshit... we know what he really meant.

"Taking my talents to South Beach."

    "Continue my Greatness."

You're full of yourself... no point in trying to act humble at this juncture.

Agreed. Based on his past actions and comments why would anyone think anything else?

Anyways...sad night to be a Cavs fan. I am glad the crowd was great but I'm obviously disappointed with the team. I don't care if you're besties with Lebron...no need to act like it on the court. All of that can wait until after the game. I wasn't expecting much...but I thought they would play with heart like the did on opening night.

When you agree with me, does that mean I automatically get an infraction point?

It's actually doubled. Thus you would recieve 2 and banished to THE BASEMENT! (Quick edit your post!)

Didn't read through this whole thread, but I have a couple thoughts:

    1. Cleveland fans were very respectful and handled themselves the way you would hope
    2. The Cav's play only justified Lebon's decision. They looked awful. Hard to believe how good Varejao and Williams looked last year, and how bad they were yesterday.

Cavs won 61 games last yr. LBJ on the Cavs team this yr = better record than the FAILami have at this point. Not sure where the justification is.

    Hard to say that.

No more Mike Brown, Delonte, or Shaq...and its obvious they don't play with the same intensity they had with LBJ. Everything ran through him, now its just a bunch of role players with no main man.\

On a positive note, with a lot of picks, Cleveland could land some solid players. There is a lot young talent out there with the skills to contribute immediately in the NBA.

Losing Shaq was addition by subtraction IMO. Outside of a big body to guard guys like Howard he clogged up the floor/our offense as we tried to force feed him too much to keep him happy even though he has declining skills. I think we could have kept him if we wanted to.

Also not sure how many games you watched last year, but West hardly played and when he did, he was terrible. Byron Scott > Mike Brown, its not even close. I would have loved to see what LBJ would/could have done under Scott's system.
  • Automatik
I was basically saying that the lineup and systems are different. I agree with you about Shaq...he was god awful for the most part of the year. JJ should have played a lot more in the post season and its becoming quite obvious after watching him this year.
