Ass kicking? Dude, you're here to start trouble because it's fucking obvious you don't have a CLUE about hockey! Just leave.

1-0 Pens, second period just started a few minutes ago.

Pens lose 4-1. Wrong kind of streak now. 24/7 comes on HBO in 10 minutes.

Piss poor effort by everyone not named Crosby, Malkin, and Letang.

Aside from Crosby and Malkin, nobody is able to drive to the net with the puck on their stick or shoot the damn puck. Now is the time to package some bottom sixers for a Brunnete like player.

^^^^I wouldn't say it was a piss poor effort but that they just ran out of gas in the third period. No worries after losing two in a row, they're off until Monday and the much needed rest will get them energized. Hopefully Kunitz will be back on Monday night.

    How about Jarome Iginla?

Pens would have to give up some promising youngsters. I think they have the pieces to do it if they wanted to.

He's not as good as he was about five years ago but still 32 goals last year, 14 goals and 15 assists this year on a team that doesn't have much around him. Power forward who can score and also brings some physical play.
  • End of Line
^^^We don't have the cap space to acquire Iginla.

Bingo! The Pens would have to give up one of their big players in order to free up the cash.

IMO, this team is fine the way they are. Every year you here the same thing...."Sid needs a scoring winger", well Sid and the rest of the team have done just fine without one. I will agree that Sid could be that much better with a big gun on his line (Hossa proved that) but they also won a Stanley Cup with out that type of player and no, Billy Guerin doesn't count.

They would probably have to give up Kunitz, Kennedy, Cooke somebody like that

and then one of the young players like Letestu or Jeffrey

probably not worth the gamble since they may be good enough already
  • End of Line
Go after Brunnete if the Wild are out of the playoffs at the end of the year.

In the offseason I would like them to "poach" a RFA and sign a UFA winger. I want the line up to look like this next year.

    Kuntiz-Crosby-Setoguchi (RFA)
    Tangradi-Malkin-Ryder
    Cooke-Staal-Kennedy
    Adams-Talbot-Dupuis
    Rupp

    Orpik-Letang
    Martin-Michalek
    Gogo-Engelland
    Bortuzzo

    Orpik is a GTD.

    Pens win 6-1

Geno looks to be back to his old form with 5 goals in the past 3 games and 5 points last nights.
  • GoPens
That was one of the "funnest" games I've ever attended.
  • End of Line
Caps fans were chanting "We Want Pittsburgh" at the end of their game tonight. Be careful of what you wish for.
  • GoPens
Caps fans are idiots. It still burns me that the NHL gave those losers 20,000 tickets for the Winter Classic. This is the franchise where their fat-ass owner blocks ticket sales from the Pittsburgh area so his lousy Verizon Center won't look like a Pens home game.

Give them the 1,500 tickets that Buffalo gave Pens season ticket holders for the 1st Winter Classic.

How can you be ripping on an owner for wanting only home town fans in attendance? If i were a fan and an owner came out and said i don't want rival fans in my building, i'd be stoked.

    Pens win 5-2 over Florida

    at Washington Thursday

since Nov. 17 the Pens are 14-2
  • rock_knutne
^^^^That's an extremely impressive record through 16 games. What's also amazing is they have a two game slide and come back with two very impressive wins just like that. It was like someone shot them out of a cannon. This could be another special team come year's end.
