I think these announcers wanna have sex with Halladay

LOL. Cincy is toast. Overmatched in every phase of the game.

I smell sweep. Cincy MAY get one at home.. this series goes no longer than 4 games.

They'd have to somehow get a guy to 3rd for that one...not gonna happen. This thing's in the books...on to game 2.

You are the biggest whinebag on this forum, point blank.

The guy has a no hitter going in the PLAYOFFS against a good offense...

They're not built to win in the playoffs...Colin Cowherd has been saying it for months and everyone in Cincy bit his head off. It's pretty evident now. Teams like Philly are built to win playoff series', just like St. Louis did back in '06. A bunch of experienced veterans that kinda take it easy during the year (put forth just enough to get to the the postseason) and pour it on when it counts, backed by a pitching staff full of Aces. With that recipe, all you need are a couple of big hits per game and you win. The Reds have been consistant all year, but the pitching can't/won't hold up to the pressure.

The Phillies have a better pitching staff and line-up than the Reds. They also have a better manager.

    The Phillies are just better.

One game against the best pitcher in baseball, broheim. I'm sure the Reds nerves got to them with the errors. I'm not worried. Yet.

I'm not worried at all. It's one fucking game against the best pitcher in baseball in Philly.

NO, I did not say suicide squeeze. Showing bunt the entire at bat does nothing either. So you have to throw a squeeze play in there somewhere, or else they are going to get no hit.

You can't when a guy is dealing like Halladay is. When a guy is locked in your best shot is to get him on a first pitch strike...at least you know it's going to be in the zone. You treat it like a hit-and-run and hope you get good wood on it if you can even hit it at that.

    Flat out EMBARRASSING

Still the only no-hitter in postseason history

Ok, if that makes you feel better by thinking that way..

I'm a neutral observer and the Reds haven't really been that consistent lately to begin with.

Halladay, Hamels, and Oswalt.. Those are 3 #1's...

Why? Who gives a shit if we get no-hit. A loss in the playoffs is a loss. Just because we got no-hit doesn't mean the series is over. All it means is Halladay is really fucking good. Really? I didn't already know that lol

Go ahead and no-hit us...then your confidence will be way up and we'll take game 2.

A squeeze is when a guy is on 3rd and you bunt him in. A suicide squeeze is when that guy on 3rd starts to commit to home, giving himself up as an out or a run if you can get the bunt down. You were talking about a bunt, but who cares, it's a moot point. The way this thing is going they'd try a bunt for a hit and pop it up to the catcher.

to this point...between Halladay's excellence and beyond and the Reds god awful approaches of trying to pull everything....this is the most overly dominating pitching performance I have ever seen.

The Reds will not get a hit unless they take a pitch to the opposite field or hit a 3 hopping seeing eye single between SS and 3rd.

It should be a 1-0 or 2-0 game...but Dusty gets overwhelmed in the playoffs.
