Aren't you aware that Pittsburgh fans just ignore the existence of the Pirates? Just think of how much Steelers gear you see everywhere compared to how many Pirates hats you see.

This is very true. I lived in Pittsburgh and you see more Phillies stuff, then Pirates stuff.

Do you think our chances would improve if we traded Brandon Phillips for pennies on the dollar?

How about we take our best player and trade them for a catcher that can't hit .200, a mid-tier pitching prospect, and a utility player even though our best player has time left on his deal?

Like S&L said earlier, it's obvious why you are rooting against the Reds so much.

    I'd mention 1948 but I'm not a jackass.

I just threw up in my mouth a little bit. I still get nightmares from the day that trade was announced. Seriously I would love to listen to the trade talks that took place between Shapiro and Amaro. "Oh you are offering up the reigning Cy Young winner who is easily one of the best pitchers in baseball with a year and a half left on his deal? Well, how about we offer you a middle of the road pitching prospect and a utility infielder? Ok fine, twist my arm and I'll throw in a catcher who can't hit his weight, even though you already have Carlos Santana, one of the best catching prospects in baseball. Does that sound fair?" Shapiro got his pants taken down to his ankles on that one.

How long has it been since Ohio had a Pro Championship in anything? It's been a couple years for PA. But we have some good chances this year with the Phillies, Steelers, Eagles, Flyers, and Penguins.

I could not be more jealous of all your hockey success.

I'm just glad that my life is good enough that I don't have to rely on my favorite sports teams to win a championship in order to validate my existence.

Honestly man just shut the hell up. It gets pretty old honestly. This is coming from a fan who hates Ohio Pro sport teams, but it is old. But to answer your question it is the 1990 Reds.

Lol who cares? I thought you were a Pittsburgh fan anyway, why do you care what Philly sports teams do? Also, where are the Pirates in this list? Oh I forgot, Pittsburgh sports fans don't actually acknowledge there is a baseball team in Pittsburgh.
  • jordo212000
It gets said over and over again. If you ignore somebody who does this sort of thing... They'll go away. He's obviously a caricature of himself at this point

Don't the Pirates hold the record for most consecutive seasons under .500? That has to count for something doesn't it?

Last time Pirates were close to relevant:
