Reds reported after smoking victory cigars in clubhouse

  • osu45804
watching at home on television were at least five whistle-blowers who noted that the Reds were violating Ohio's indoor-smoking ban. They called Cincinnati's health department to report the team and now the Cincinnati Enquirer reports the club is under investigation....

I like the last line of the article ..... "it was probably just a bunch of jealous Cardinals or Cubs fans anyway."

I think shooting the Reds players in the head who were smoking is a little too harsh. Maybe just a fine would be appropriate.

While it isn't close to being the same it is also pathetic that someone would call in to report the Reds on something like this.

The fine is also only $100 for the first offense. BFD.
  • osu45804
Well I hope they get at least 3 more fines for the same offense
  • gerb131
They didn't get the cigars from Santonio did they?

    Indeed.

*cue Reds are frauds and are going to get destroyed in the playoffs post.

Smoking victory cigars is a crime?

Apparently people are petty enough to call in and report them for celebrating since they were smoking inside in the state of Ohio. It had to be Tony LaRussa.

The Reds do not own the stadium, it is owned by the county. That's why they can't put "And this one belongs to the Reds!" on the stadium.

I think it's funny. The state has to investigate due to the complaints, all 5 were anonymous. Catch is even if they have it on video they can't use. It has to be witness on site by an investigator.

It was probably pissed off smokers who called it in...If I can't smoke there, why can they ???

I'd love to smoke my cigar at a Reds game, but I'd probably be asked to leave the grounds. :)

Is this true or are you being clever?

Wow......Just wow at how stupid people are.

There is a strong base of moralistic douchebags around Cincinnati... most of the religious groups that have pull within the state politics are from SWO. This isn't too surprising.
