Reds Vs. Diamondbacks: Game 4
-
charliehustle14Basically. Plus he dicks around way too much out there. That's something Cueto has outgrown but Volquez still hasn't, especially since Volquez has discovered a curveball. He's like a little kid in the way he's fascinated with that pitch.
-
charliehustle14Man our offense is terrible today. Did Brandon Webb buy a Rodrigo Lopez mask or something? Actually nevermind, that's just the Reds hacking at anything and everything.
-
osu45804I love how Thom & Chris can find ways to compliment a guy who is 5-14 with 33HR's allowed and lost 7 straight

He goes quickly, but lot's of times he gets it back, especially in his first year. It was like he just lost concentration for a while. Very costly though. But I think you stick with him for a while in this game. Dusty must think so too as he let him hit. -
osu45804Wow!!! This umpire sure is giving a guy who is 5-14 some shitty calls... that was Ball 4 to Cabrera

The difference between his first year and this year is that Volquez had more consistant mechanics in his first year, plus he wasn't constantly toying with a curveball. Just my opinion. -
SportsAndLadyCharlie man calm down lol they've been doing this the whole year; they're waiting to strike. Seeing their pitches, getting a feeling of the game. Don't worry, they'll come back eventually. I'll bet you 5 dollars Janish will get a big hit in this game.
-
charliehustle14Rodrigo Lopez making a late surge for the Cy Young.
-
mhs95_06Of course concentrating a bunch can be bad also, like Massett so concentrated he doesn't know the runner is leaving from 3rd until he has stolen home!
-
osu45804Then Volquez has a 8 pitch 6th Inning ... crazy

Ramon breaking his bat on a first pitch with runners on 1st and 3rd and 1 out coupled with Janish and Francisco taking some ill advised swings have irked me today more than normal. They can't get away with this crap in the playoffs.
As a side note, the D-Backs have to be the stupidest team in baseball. You get to Volquez for 3 runs because you work the count and are either rewarded with a walk or a quality swing on a fastball late in the count. And then they come out this inning and hack away. -
osu45804WTF ... Bruce killed that ball and DBacks get lucky as hell
-

They are saving that strategy for the 7th!charliehustle14;486108 wrote: As a side note, the D-Backs have to be the stupidest team in baseball. charliehustle14Bruce smoked that. I wish that would have hit LaRoach right in his stupid little patch of chin hair...but then again, that would have killed him if it had.
-
charliehustle14Lopez is going to throw a complete game against us. Tragic. smh.
-
charliehustle14Well Parra to 2nd with 1 out. D-Backs are sure to score this inning because Kelly Johnson will be due up and he absolutely rakes the ball.
-
osu45804Strike 3 to Hernandez was pathetic ......
-
charliehustle14We have a Jimmy sighting
-

No kidding. Wasn't even a good frame job by the catcher either. It's been that kind of day for Lopez. -
charliehustle14I'd love for Jimmy to go yard here and prevent Lopez from getting a W. That'd be sweet.
-
charliehustle14Man, Lopez has gotten the benefit of some calls today. Geeze.
-

I thought it was pathetic for Ramon not to swing. I thought it was the right call on a very good tailing pitch! -
osu45804I tweeted John Fay b/c I was curious of the Reds record on Day games compared to night games b/c I thought there was a huge difference and there kind of is.... Day games Reds are 28-23 and Night games 55-40
-
osu45804Lopez has been winless in his last 11 starts since July 8 ..... Reds love to give people gifts sometimes lol
-
mhs95_06D'backs need to leave Heilman in for the save in the 9th. He is throwing good. He had strike 3 on both the first two hitters that the ump didn't call, and still retired the side 1,2,3.
