Cleveland's Offense is really bad (or it looked it in week 1). the o-line, which i thought would be pretty good, looked horrible.
The offense looked bad in the 2nd half after Delhomme's injury. Prior to that they were pretty much moving the ball up and down the field. I will agree that the O-Line was an abortion. Highly disappointed in the play of the left side. The right side is atrocious with Meatwad, I mean Pork Chop, and the human turnstile, Alex Boone Jr, St Clair. Luavao & Pashos can't get back fast enough. If they don't fix that damn RT spot in the offseason THROUGH THE DRAFT I'm gonna be pissed.
Once Delhomme became even more immobile than normal all the Bucs had to do was stack the box, shut down the run and tee off on a gimpy QB. Hopefully Wallace's mobility with even things out for the Browns this week.
Either way, this is a "MUST WIN" game for the Browns. If they lose this, with the upcoming schedule, they could be looking at anything from 0-16 to 2-14. -
BR1986FBHoly shit! Crennel & Mangini lived under the same roof? The local grocery stores were probably foaming at the mouth... Looks like we may be stuck with Pork Chop & St Clair again.
All Signs Signal Seneca To Start

With the status still unclear on Jake Delhomme's right ankle, Eric Mangini had good things to say Friday about the Browns back-up and possible week two starter, Seneca Wallace.
BEREA, Ohio—Although Eric Mangini wouldn’t come out and name Seneca Wallace as the starting quarterback for Sunday’s home opener with the Chiefs, all the tea leaves are pointing that way.
“I’d like to wait to see how (Friday) goes,” Mangini said. “Jake (Delhomme) is making progress and I would have total confidence with him playing after missing practice.
“With that being said, I feel really good with what Seneca is doing.”
Mangini wouldn’t say if Delhomme is held out if it’s just a one-game situation.
“I’d like to say that, but with any injury you don’t always know,” he said. “We’ll have to see how it goes.”
If Wallace does start, it will be the 15th quarterback to start a game for the Browns since the team returned in 1999. The only quarterback to start all 16 games was Tim Couch in 2001.
Notebook
Jackson, Rogers Practicing: LB D’Qwell Jackson and DL Shaun Rogers were back at practice on Friday, increasing Rogers opportunity to play on Sunday against the Chiefs.
“I think (Rogers) should be able to play Sunday,” Mangini said.
Rogers was slowed with an ankle and hip injury.
Jackson practiced for the first time since straining his pectoral muscle early in training camp. Mangini said that they will bring Jackson along at a slower pace.
“D’Qwell will practice today,” he said. “It will be real limited, because it’s his first time back out there.
“We’re going to bring him along slowly and not rush anything and see how it goes.”
OL Shaun Lauvao (ankle) did not practice, along with Delhomme.
House Guest: Mangini said that he lived with former Browns coach and current Chiefs’ defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel.
“I lived with Romeo when I first got to New England,” Mangini said. “It was a great place to be a house guest. “
Mangini says he admires Crennel, highly.
“He is one of the best people I now as a pure human being and you want to see your firends be successful.”
Ironically, if Crennel would’ve been successful with the Browns, Mangini might not have been hired as the Browns coach. Crennel was 24-40 in his four years as the Browns head coach.
Nod to St. Clair: Mangini was asked who would start at right tackle.
“robably, John St. Clair.”
OL Tony Pashos was signed with the idea of him unseating St. Clair, but thus far he has not been able to do so.

Art ModellLooks like Jim Brown wont be attending the Ring of Shame ceremony before the game. He says that he wont let Holmgren define his legacy.

Don't forget Charlie Weis is here too...All hands on deck at the Hometown Buffet this weekend. -
HitsRusI don't think the Browns are as bad as the result of week 1 makes them out to be. There were a million(exagerration) ways to win that game and only one way to lose....and they found the way to lose. Ithink just the opposite was true for KC. I see the Browns with a solid, but not a blowout win.

outdoorsmanSurprised to see a thread on here about Cleveland........LAFFIN. I thought they were semi-pro.

ZombaypirateI chose KC by 4-6, not that I want that to happen, but I am a bit skeptical of the Browns.
Go Browns!! -
BlueDevil11link to watch this on the internet?
-
Fab1bNone of my usual links are showing the game, damn just like yesterday
-
BlueDevil11Yep I have the same problem. I was hoping someone would have one that works, but no luck so far.
-
Cleveland BuckThe refs have been told to make sure the Browns don't win this one. The Browns can lose badly to anyone all by themselves. They don't need help.
-
iclfan2That was a terrible fumble call. Browns driving now thanks to Hillis and Harrison. Wallace looks decent aside from the 2 bombs they had him throw that weren't even close.
-
BRFHere we go Brownies, here we go! (Clap Clap)
-
iclfan2Pick 6, way to go Wallace.
-
Midstate01Our qb's gotta quit throwing picks right before the half. Killing us
-
Midstate01Buuuuuuut we will take 65 yard td passes!!! 14-10

iclfan2haha that is a good way to make up for the pick. Cribbs looking decent at wr lately. Stil not much "cyclone" package.
