    "munity" huh?

KR1245, don't talk with idiots. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Just give him credit he got all the letters right. Bless his heart.

Holmgren is a coach not a gm remember he took the Seahawks to the superbowl once he was removed from the front office. I said this when he was hired and im telling you again now he will make the browns worse over time and make bad draft choices and bad signings
  • like_that
He is not our gm. Hackert is our gm.

Beside the point, its the FIRST year. I do not think anybody here was predicting the Browns to have a good season, so why are some people already panicking about Holgrem? If there is a guy you want to bitch about, bitch about Erica Womangini. I hated that hire from the beginning.

Erica Womangini's clock management was disgraceful. Delbum is on his way to fulfil my prediction of 9 TOs in the first 3 games. Also Mangini needed to pull Delbum for Seneca Wallace after he got injured. It was fairly clear that Delhomme couldn't follow through on his throws. The lack of carries for Harrison was also pullzling. He rips off a 39 yd run only to barely get the ball after that. Hillis fumbles twice losing one and he gets rewarded with more carries. I'm not sure what DaBoll's boner for Hillis is, hes a solid player, great addition but he shouldbnt be getting as many carries as Harrison.

    ^^^I agree 100% with that.

Supposedly, the excuse for abandoning the run after the game was that TB was putting 8 to 9 guys in the box. Still gotta TRY to run to keep them honest.

After KC's performance last night, the Browns may be looking at an "0-fer" for the season as far as wins go. They lose this week, I could see Holmgren taking over until they hire Gruden next year.
  • Commander of Awesome
After watching last night I think going 0-2 now seems more realistic. I am just hoping that the home crowd and the rain helped the Chiefs to the win, along with lack of V Jackson.

Not opposed to Gruden as our HC next season. Erica Womangini needs to go AT MIN 8-8 for me to even consider keeping him. His draft in 09 is enough to fire him IMO. David Fucking Veikune.... what a god damn joke.

This is what happens when you decide to refuse to bring in any semblance of a big play threat at receiver. As I heard Reghi harping on yesterday, who on this Browns offense scares opposing defenses or makes them have to account for him? Cleveland is littered with #2 and 3 receivers right now, but no true #1. Mo-mass is the most solid guy they have, but he is not a #1 receiver.

We went through this last year. You have to have offensive weapons that scare defenses if you want to win in the NFL these days.

Teams are going to load up against the run with this team and force them to throw the ball to win until the Browns can make them pay for not being honest. That does not seem to be anywhere on the horizon given the current personnel.

Besides Cribbs, this team has NO playmakers that ANY team fears...on offense OR defense. Just a bunch of "guys."

Very strong possibility. While drunk last night, I was impressed by the Chiefs, but in retrospect, they were utterly inept on offense except for one big run by Charles. They got a handful of big plays, but showed no ability to move the ball. I can see the Browns-Chiefs game being another 17-14 sort of deal.

I was only able to catch some of the game, didn't see the Def stand at the end of the game. From most game recaps I have read it seems that RAC has their def playing well, be interesting to see to see what type of gameplan he brings to Cleveland. I think 17-14 is realistic, but not sure sure the Browns can score 17.

With Shaun Rogers tweeting that he may be on the trading block (no shocker) and Kris Jenkins going down with an injury for the Jets last night, could we be doing business with NY again?

Also we brought in Jarvis Green today for a look.

Jake Delhomme is finished, as I feared when we signed him. I was also baffled by the playcalling, specifically in the running game. In the first half several times they handed it Harrison on an inside lead where he predictably was stuffed for nothing almost every time. At the end of last season when we won 4 in a row and Harrison put up big numbers, he had most of his success on off tackle runs and outside runs. Then in the second half, we didn't run at all while Delhomme was sailing them over the head of our wideouts. A pitiful performance all around. Everyone in the organization should be ashamed of themselves.

The Browns won't play well until Modell has met his maker.

It's gotta hurt with you being the Browns #1 fan.
